"Hamas Operatives Charged with Targeting Jordan"
By Aaron Mannes
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Today, Jordans military prosecutor charged three Hamas operatives with planning attacks against Jordanian intelligence officers and Israeli targets in Jordan. Fellow CTblogger David Schenker wrote a backgrounder when the plot was discovered in May that discusses its implications on Jordanian politics where Hamas has a close relationship with the leading Jordanian opposition party, the Islamic Action Front.
This plot also highlights a disturbing possibility. As Hamas finds it increasingly difficult to hit Israel directly, they are more likely to hit Israel abroad or attack Israels allies. In 2003, Jamal Akkal, a Canadian-Palestinian, had been recruited by Hamas to strike Israeli and Jewish targets in the United States.
Egypt could also find itself a victim."

AS many as 20 rocket launchers have been smuggled into Australia from the Middle East and are on sale for as much as $50,000 each in Sydney's underworld.
The weapons were obtained by a Sydney criminal gang to fight a turf war, but authorities fear they could end up in the hands of terrorists.
A Sunday Telegraph investigation has revealed the B-7 type rocket launchers, also known as RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenades, are being offered for sale on the black market for between $15,000 and $50,000.

Another beheading from the R.O.T.
Thank you Oorang for the info.
CAIRO, Nov 3 (KUNA) -- Egyptian security forces seized 600 kilograms of explosives in the north of Sinai, a security source said Friday. He was quoted by state-run news agency (Mena) as saying the T.N.T explosives were found following combing operations in many areas in the desert of Sinai. The explosives were found stuffed in bags near Ruthayyan village, said the source, and were disposed later.
A ton of explosives had been found in the north of Sinai some time ago. The security authorities said last September they thwarted an attempt to smuggle weapons across the borders.

Arab militias kill 63 in Darfur, half of them children
Saturday, November 04, 2006
Attacks in West Darfur have killed at least 63 people, half of them children, as rebels on Friday accused Khartoum of remobilising Arab militia after suffering two military defeats on the Sudan-Chad border.
The government have begun mobilising the Janjaweed widely, especially in West Darfur, because they want to clear the area and move north along the border and defeat us, said Bahr Idriss Abu Garda, a leader of the National Redemption Front (NRF). Rebels from the NRF alliance said of the 63 dead, 33 were children. The United Nations said 27 of those were under 12 and urged the government to protect civilians.

Iraqi Document: Saddam Regime Spying on the IAEA (Congressman Hoekstra is Right) (Translation)

The New York Times published their article yesterday where they claimed that the Foreign Military Intelligence Office (FMSO) website posted few captured Iraqi documents about Saddam regime nuclear program and that these document contain a lot of technological details that can be used by country like Iran to help them in their nukes program. The New York Times said that it was the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) who complained to the US government about this few weeks ago.
Congressman Pete Hoekstra (R-MI), Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee disputed the New York Times article and part of his statement to rebuttal the article he said this
.. Second, my staff's preliminary review of the documents in question suggests that at least some of them may be internal IAEA documents. There is a serious question of why and how the Iraqi these documents in the first place. We need to explore that carefully - I certainly hope there will be no evidence that the IAEA had been penetrated by Saddam's regime.Link: Rep. Hoekstra (Republican) responds to NYTimes http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1731635/posts ..
Well Congressman Hoekstra is RIGHT. Document ISGP-2003-00020767 which is dated February 1997 talks about Saddam regime spying on the IAEA and working to get The researches and studies that are done by the IAEA. The spying on the IAEA was a part of the intelligence gathering that the Iraqi were doing in Vienna where the IAEA headquarters are, also they were spying on OPEC which is also has its headquarters in Vienna, as well as spying on the Austrian government. Although this is a 1997 intelligence work plan, it is not something new that the Iraqis have been doing, they have been spying on the IAEA prior to 1997.
Below is a partial translation of document ISGP-2003-00020767 , page 1 and page 6 of the document.

great guy, that is.

I have not seen one ( count 'em, 1 ) new Democrat bumper sticker in my county. But I see lots of Republican stickers. And my advance vote foray was standing room only. People are more fired up than the Drive-by Media is letting on.

Muslims cleared to work in travel hubs as vetting system backed
November 4 2006
Thousands of Muslims will be able to continue working in sensitive areas of transport hubs, including Heathrow airport, after a decision by the government not to change vetting procedures.
In France, more than 70 Muslim workers at Charles de Gaulle airport had their security clearance withdrawn after being judged to have been a risk to passengers. But ministers have no plans to follow suit, claiming they are confident that procedures for scrutinising employees offer sufficient protection. "We run as robust and effective a system as we can," said the Department for Transport.
According to security experts and trade union officials, vetting procedures at important transport hubs fall well short of being fool-proof. However, the FT has learnt that security advice circulating in the British airline industry suggests making them much more stringent would be fraught with legal and political pitfalls.

Gov. Bush blasts couple's comments
Published November 1, 2006
Gov. Jeb Bush on Wednesday strongly condemned a Hernando County commissioner and his wife for calling Islam a hateful, frightening religion.
There is no room for bigotry and hatred in the state of Florida, said Alia Faraj, Bushs communications director. The governor is extremely disappointed in their inappropriate comments.
Bush appointed Commissioner Tom Hogan Sr. in August. Hogan is a prominent Republican activist, co-founder of Hernando Countys Republican Party, and a GOP state committee member for four decades. Faraj said Bush is outraged and found the Hogans comments extremely offensive.
Thats too bad, countered Mary Ann Hogan on Wednesday, defending her views. But Ive been disappointed in some of the things hes said as well.
Tom Hogan said, Im not seeing that as bigotry, because I dont feel bigoted on it. Its just a matter of fact. He also said many people had called him Wednesday to voice their agreement and support.
