Theres no fight like an old fight. And this weeks emotional exchanges between President George W. Bush and Sen. John Kerry were nothing if not old. Kerry screwed up what he called a botched joke about Bushs brainpower when it comes to Iraq; Bush pounced by challenging his ex-rivals commitment to the troops.
Memo to Bush and Kerry: neither of you are on the ballot next week. And while it may be satisfying to rehash the last election, you both run the risk of looking totally out of touch.
The risks for President Bush are greater than they are for Senator Kerry, who may have suffered the deep embarrassment of falling into a familiar self-made trap. But he leads nothing inside his party, sets no strategy and the Democrats can easily disown himas several candidates have done by canceling events with him this week.

Now we should be gracious, and express gratification that Kerry has apologized for his patronizing insult to the brainpower of American troops.
Dear MSM: This will sink the Republicans, so please keep it in the front page headlines as long as possible.
Well, if it does hurt Republicans I guess those supporting the Reps will just have to live with the consequences of their actions. We really thank NewsWeek and MSNBC for their concern, but sometimes you have to learn the hard way. :::snickering::
LOL!!! Nice try, fellas!
are these yours??? These are HYSTERICAL!!!!
This great work was done by dead!
The MSM needs to come clean themselves and just admit they are a never ending commercial for the Democrats. This is the most pathetic attempt at spin this around.
Pardon me, the whole run up to this election has been portrayed by this same media and the dummycrats as if Bush is the one people are to vote against. Gee, if I remember right, Bush beat Kerry.
Bush isn't fighting. He didn't start this any more than he was responsible for 911. Kerry gave the speech, criticized the troops, called for a presser and refuses to apologize just as a group of muslims manned the flights that killed American citizens and continue with their jihad.
If it might hurt Bush, then why are the dems throwing Kerry under the bus. I mean, it takes a lot to get the dems to throw one of their own under the bus.
MSNBC - Microsoft - Bill Gates & Co.
Time to put the blame for this anti-american network where it belongs - Bill and Melinda Gates!
Kerry could screw up a rock fight. But he wouldn't approve paying for the rocks before he agreed to pay for the rocks.
The media has failed miserably at making us smart enough to understand a visionary like Kerry.
CNN will need to curtail their showings of "Broken Government" given the Kerry troop smear - they will now have to preempt some showings with a new defensive for the DemoncRATs - so that limits the number of times they can replay "Broken Government" before the election.
PATHETIC!!
i guess the foley nonsense hurt the dems
