Exactly...no way I believe this was a botched joke. Knowing the liberal mindset when it comes to the military (educated people don't join), there's no way I can believe this is a gaff.

I've been a long timne reader but never registered. Great site by the way. In any event, this Kerry thing has gotten to me and it time to put in my 2 cents. Just sent this email to Mr. Wonderful:
As a USMC combat vet in Iraq, a Captain, (with a BA and an MBA) I find your comments very offensive. However, I have learned not to expect anything nearing a competent intellect from you given your congressional speech following your "long" tour in Vietnam and Cambodia, LOL. The California speech yesterday just serves to reinforce what was already known by many.
In short, you just don't get it. In terms of your military service as an officer, you clearly missed the class regarding integrity and personal responsibility. You made a mistake and yet you can't find the personal courage to admit it. That is why you can never be trusted with a position in the White House acting as our Commander In Chief. With that said, I do very much appreciate you speaking for your party. It is very enlightening to those who may have missed anything to date.

When a man is too stupid to stop digging the hole, you either tell him to stop or throw dirt on top of him.

Kerry thinks he wormed his way out of trouble by saying he was meaning to tell a joke against the President, not the troops.
Well, it is Halloween, after all!

"Kerry meant to say that he can't "overstress the importance of a great education" and that "if you don't study, if you aren't smart, if you're intellectually lazy... You end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq."
If he's claiming that's what he intended to say, he's flat-out lying. Bush was a Harvard and Yale graduate, whose grades were as good as or better than Kerry's.

I'd like to know who wrote that crap of an excuse for him.

Yeah, that was my take on it as well: "I stupidly dropped two words, it was a terrible mistake and if it were possible I'd apologize individually to every soldier, past and present. Since I can't do that I would like to issue as public apology to them as I can."
But his words today were deranged. I keep trying to figure out a political angle, maybe getting out the moon bat vote, but that didn't work too well before.
So the only answer left is that he is truly deranged (not that there was much question, but this is the nadir of political stupidity).

Hunter was on TV the other day telling CNN that they ought NOT have any reporters embedded in Iraq.
Called his office and will do so again to thank him.
