FREEP THIS POLL: Did Limbaugh Go Too Far in Criticizing Fox?
MSNBC ^ | 10/25/2006 | MSNBC

Posted on 10/25/2006 2:36:00 PM PDT by Impeach98

Do you think Rush Limbaugh went too far in accusing Michael J. Fox of exaggerating the effects of Parkinson's disease? * 115743

VOTE HERE!!!

Yes. 84%

No. 14%

I don't know. 1.6%

I had to look into this one because the way the media reported it, it sounded like Rush did go too far. But then you find out that this is a tactic of Michael J. Fox that he has previously admitted using to enhance sympathy for his cause. Well, then that makes Rush's comment 100% accurate.

What really happened: Rush imbaugh pointed out that Michael J. Fox has a history of managing his illness for maximum dramatic impact. Nothing illegal about that, but it show that he is willing to manipulate the public if it helps his cause.

How it will be remembered: Rush Limbaugh said poor little Michael J. Fox is faking Parkinson's disease.

back away from the poll - do not do it, let it go out of whack so it cannot be taken seriously - that goes for all polls

Here we go again. A conservative is impaled for his words. The fact that this actor DID stop taking his meds isn't making the lefties mad.
This will be all over the news and the papers. It's the same thing every time! Full media coverage, hypocritical outrage, endless references to the "racist sexist homophobe jihadophobe mean-spirited" words of the Republican.

These fascists roast people for saying "macaca", which means nothing.

A word to Rush:
Don't you know that the left is monitoring your program from start to finish, recording every word of yours? That they get together to meet and decide if there's anything they can roast you on?
Don't you know that there is free speech for all except conservatives?
Don't you know that when they get into power talk radio and Free Republic are finished?

Rush gave his opinion on the matter. He went just as far as it took to express his opinion. MSNBC have a problem with free speech?

The (Canadian) tax-exempt Parkinson's foundation head, Fox, ain't even close to being an original.

Superman? Long Island Railroad and/or Jersey Widders, anyone?

Or is the delightful Ms Coulter ahead of the game or what?

Just because a person is the victim of a disease does not mean that everything he says must be accepted without question or without opposition. Fox has thrown his hat into the political arena and has made dramatic endorsements of democrats on the basis of embryonic stem cell research. Is he to be considered another 9/11 widow, someone who cannot be challenged because he has suffered? Hey! I suffer for a lot of reasons every day, but I don't expect anyone to kill another viable human being for me on the prospect that, somewhere down the road, I might feel better. But then I'm not a star, not a celebrity. By the way, does anyone know if this fellow is an American citizen? A dual citizen? Or still a Canadian citizen?

Rush handled the subject reasonably and truthfully, merely pointing out something Fox had already admitted to in his book...that he (Fox) overemphasizes his condition to influence public opinion. The fact that the "moonbats" flew into a rage only reinforces the realization that Rush was right. It's always a bitch to get caught with your hand in the cookie jar.

That is what will happen. I read one headline that Rush was mocking Michael J. Fox. But, Rush is big enough that he can shrug it off.

"back away from the poll - do not do it, let it go out of whack so it cannot be taken seriously - that goes for all polls "

That's what my mom used to tell me about politics... "why vote it only encourages them."

I've learned in life that surrendering or protesting by not playing ball never gives you victory. It never advances your cause. It just creates an opening for others to march in and move the ball further down the field in THEIR direction.

It would merely be "AN OVERWHELMING MAJORITY OF ONLINE VISITORS CONDEMNED LIMBAUGH'S ATTACK ON FOX"

Why make it easier for them to be biased?
