As the Republican base fragments and Christian conservatives consider a fast from politics, the polling data point to a mid-term Republican thumping. Less than two weeks from now, Republicans will begin their post-mortem soul searching. And as the corpses of their House and Senate majorities grow cold, so should Karl Roves 2006 campaign strategy.

I am talking about the next life. What happens
Begging the question.
For me "what happens" in the next life is
to spend eternity in the Presence of God. Where a person spends eternity is entirely left up to the individual.

Would the life in the next life be conscious life? In any case isn't this life also in the Presence of God?

Do you have any response to that? What did he do to warrant banning? How should I know? I never heard of him before. As far as reading his posts, if he did something worthy of banning, I would expect the post to be deleted so reading his posts isn't going to prove anything since it wouldn't be there.

Yes but the Next Life is going to be a little different.
Rev. 21: 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
5 He who was seated on the throne said, I am making everything new! Then he said, Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.

From Merriam-Webster Online
Main Entry: re·li·gion
Pronunciation: ri-'li-j&n
Function: noun
4 : a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith
Seems to fit, and it's from a recognized authoritative well know source.

Unfortunately, as his sentences become clearer, casual conversation with non-initiates becomes tedious. ..."if I have not seen as far as others, it is because giants are standing on my shoulders." :-)
Thanks, it's on my list of "to read"...

Catholics accept the Torah as the word of God with minor reservations. What won't they let the under 21 crowd do??
GREAT!!! PUN!
...so I'll see you and raise you one.
It's the "under-13 crowd". Haven't you heard of a bar mitzvah?
Cheers!

I didn't realize we were having a battle of wits?
Wits is not intellectual.
I was trying to explain to you the difference between Fervor and religious fervor.
What would you do if you found out that the whole Christian religion was a fake, or was wrong?
You would flip out, is what you would do.
That is religious fervor, whereas, if the Theory of Evolution was disproven tomorrow, and replaced with a new theory, it would have no effect on my life at all, except for the fact that I would be most excited to learn about the new theory.
So, the difference is this, you have religious fervor, I have a fervor or thirst for knowledge.
I have my own beliefs, relgious in nature, but they are not threatened by a scientific theory, because science has nothing to do with my religion, and vice versa.
If you wish to have a battle of wits, let's move to another thread, but so far I have seen no battle of wits taking place, or is your definition of wits, as different as your definition of fervor?
