Well, I have to admit I haven't been listening to too many of Rush's "Open Line Friday's" as of late. They've become tedious and boring after the first hour or so. I can't say I blame Rush, some of the callers are just boring me with stuff I already know.

Yesterday got a call. In the first sentence "baron hill" was mentioned. Informed the caller I wouldn't vote for him if they paid me. She got in "Thank you" before I hung up........Guess it was one of "our calls".

Had a friend who always told the telemarketers "Yes, I AM interested, I was just diagnosed with terminal cancer this morning"......
They promptly hung up.

It may be a joke. He did say earlier that he got a lot of hate e-mail from people in the porn industry, after his segment last night on his TV show.

Glenn Beck is done here, Boortz is on, so I turned the radio down.

Back before I got married and living at home.. we use to get calls from Senior Groups telling us how great it was that my father was reaching retirement age and how he could now collect ss and all the benefits

We use to say .. we'd love to tell him that, but he's been dead (at the time) for 2O years

The next thing we'd hear was .. click

LOL! My dad passed away about six years ago. Every once in a while I'll get a call asking to speak with my dad. I kept telling them he is dead.

This one obnoxious jerk called here one day demanding to speak with my dad. I told him to write this down and then I gave him directions to the cemetery.

Then I told him, "My father is buried there. Feel free to drive out there and talk to him all you want. I can't guarantee that he'll answer you though. But, by all means you're welcome to give it a try".

Then I hung up on the jerk. He never called back. lol

After my mother passed away .. we had a hard time canceling her phone service

The dude at the phone company keep insisting that we couldn't cancel it because the phone was in her name and only she could do that

Finally we said .. Dude, what part of she is dead do you not understand?

He had to ask his supervisor for advice after that

Years ago our phone number was one diget off of one on the local taverns...(Lots of stories..My favorite is:)

One night we had an impromtue sleding, skating party. After one woman called three times asking to speak to her husband. She actually insisted he was there. One of our guest grabbed the phone. We could only hear his side of the conversation. It went something like this:
