The FReeper Canteen is asking all FReepers to please keep 68-69TonkinGulfYachtClub in your prayers.

He has suffered a massive stroke and heart attack.

We know that many of you will have questions, but as of right now we don't have any further information.

Update --> November 4th, 2006 *Afternoon*

MEDICAL UPDATE:  Brian's most recent episode that kept him in the hospital after his transfusion was yet another minor heart attack. He is stable and has been transferred back to the rehab unit to continue his therapies. More tests and hopefully a procedure to fix the heart is scheduled for on month. Between now and then he must stay calm so as to not trigger another attack. His nutrition is good. Additional non-physically needed meds have been removed except one (to ensure he does not get so anxious as to cause another heart attack) and his ability to process information is better.

FAMILY UPDATE

Brian personally sends his thanks to each and every one of you and to all those who are praying for him behind the scenes and elsewhere.

Another family member has arrived to assist and hopefully ease the load a bit.

Brian's eyes absolutely beamed when we read him the many. many cards he'd received while away at the hospital. He held them close to his chest. : ) We put them up where he can see them from his bed so he'll always know he very loved.

The printout of the refreshed thread arrived in a big box along with a friendly bear and another lovely card. thanks. When he has time throughout the day we read portions of the thread and it never fails but to touch his heart.

He works very hard in his various therapies. His eyes beam when he regains an ability and once he figures out how to accomplish something he practices it over and over until he has it down cold. The hospital and rehab staff are wonderful in the most part and others will be asked to move along in short order.

Our prayers to all those mentioned on this thread and anyone in need.

Thank you to all who keep this man in your hearts. To those who help keep this thread and the behind the scenes support going. Thanks again for all you do on Tonk's behalf.
