Bill Gertz on Drudge is saying this will cause Japan to go nuclear now, for their own protection.

In Seoul a foreign ministry spokesman said South Korea’s intelligence agency has detected a 3.58-magnitude seismic tremor, following North Korea’s announcement of a nuclear test. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/09102006/323/north-korea-conducts-first-nuclear-test-official.html

Are you sure it was nuclear...or was it Kim's gigantic stash of kimchee that went fermi-nuclear (where fermentation of cabbage undergoes critical?)
Big Boy Kimchee stash that later went fermi-nuclear

Doesn't matter. The American Sheeple are more concerned about the Mark Foley nonsense and are willing to sell out are National Security to the same party that allowed NK to have nuclear technology in the first place.
Thank you, Jimmy Carter and Madelne Albright.

it has been pretty clear to many observers (despite naysayers here and other places) that DPRK had at least a couple of nukes, and with all the time they have had it is hard to imagine them not having more now.
The main impact of this is that it forces the players to quit living in pretend-land where dprk is 'working' on a nuke and to actually deal with the reality that has been allowed to develop over the last decade+.

I don't know about the rest of you, but the thing I find the most shocking about all of this is that it's 11PM CST, on a Sunday night, and Fox News has an anchor and is actually covering this live!!!

Per Foxnews, the USGS is now reporting a seismic activity of 4.2 on the Richter scale was detected on the Korean Peninsula.

Thank you, B.J. Clinton and Maddy half-wit. A little more of your legacy we now get to pay for. Well, at least you had fun, even if it was at the expense of freedom loving people across the globe.

This is another of Bill Clinton's LEGACY!
In 1994, North Korea promised Bill Clinton,,,THEY PROMISED,,,that they would NOT develop nuclear weapons--if we just gave them billions of dollars in aid, and let them develop a nuclear reactor.
They promised Bill. THEY PROMISED HIM!! /s
