That looks like where they fired the missiles from. I could be mistaken.

The PRC is not celebrating, for two reasons:
1.) This may cause Japan to militarize, which the PRC doesn't need. This will diminish PRC influence in the area, especially around Taiwan
2.) The PRC is trying to run a dual system; communist government with a free market economy. In their view, this is a temporary measure to get their economy up to speed and competitive with the U.S. They, in their dreams, would then like to go back to a command economy. But right now, if all the PRC's trading partners are at odds with the DPRK then the PRC doesn't want to appear to be in support of the DPRK.

By getting the world ticked off at them, the DPRK is now the bane of the PRC.

.how much more powerful is that then a 3.5 nuclear bomb wise?

From here: "Livermore researchers then compared the seismogram from the May 11, 1998, tests with India's May 18, 1974, single test (its only previous nuclear test) using data from stations in Canada and Scotland that recorded both events. The 1974 test generated a clearly detected teleseismic signal with an mb of 4.9. Because India declared the 1974 explosion a "peaceful nuclear explosion," some information about it was reported, such as the fact that it was a single explosion at a depth of 107 meters. However, Indian scientists and officials stated a large range in the yield estimate-4 to 12 kilotons."

Would indicate < 10 Ktons. I'm still betting likely < 5 Ktons.

I've been screening the news channels and I think I know what the MSM will be saying tomorrow.

The clintonistas have all crawled out of their holes and are saying or suggesting that everything was fine with NK until Bush screwed it up...

That NK had given up it's Nuke ambitions in 1994 and Bush's refusal to meet with them, and the Treasury Dept's sanctions on NK's funny money operations have caused this, and it's "Bush's Fault"

I have been laughing so hard I upchucked my steak dinner!

I have never heard so many lies and distortions of fact in one evening, so I'm going to bed I think......

This is another of Bill Clinton's LEGACY!

In 1994, North Korea promised Bill Clinton,,,THEY PROMISED,,,that they would NOT develop nuclear weapons--if we just gave them billions of dollars in aid, and let them develop a nuclear reactor.

They promised Bill. THEY PROMISED HIM!! /s

How does this effect us?

They're for sale to anyone who wants to use them against us.

They have also just set the price for Iran, who is definitely in the market.

Not to mention the fact they can truck one into Soul SK, and have them by the short hairs.

China will be forced to act...I don't think we will have to do much.

Yep, we can add the 1994 Agreement with North Korea to his pathetic 'legacy'.

Thank goodness they PROMISED Bill Clinton that they would NOT do this--if he would just 'look the other way'--and help them economically. /s
