I went to the link and sure enough they where, so I sent them.....

I don't see cody, or anyone here, saying Foley was unfairly dismissed and an investigation made. I think the problem is ABC News going out of its way to find MORE sex scandals involving Republicans. Cody is very correct to use Monica Lewinski, as during 1998 ABC News would never had looked for MORE women harassed by Clinton.

Piling on by the Drive By Media is only done to Republicans. Most of us here see the DBM's hypocrisy for what it is. Cody just shoved it right back in their fat little face.

I used to work in an engineering group for a large company.

Some of my colleagues had a monthly contest whereby they would each chip a few bucks into the kitty and then working in teams of two or three try to come up with the "best" letter for Penthouse Magazine's Forum.

At the end of the month, the engineers would stage a beer barbecue and after everyone was appropriately "sudsed up" they would read the entries aloud, pick the raunchiest one of the lot, award a $50 prize to the writers, and mail the document to Penthouse.

Their work product was inevitably the number one or two lead in the magazine's feature column each month for several years.

If we want the news to cover the story when Clinton, et. al. FUBAR, then we must accept it when Rs like Foley get caught acting like human scum.

Keep in mind that this prank is pointing out the utter folly of ABC soliciting anonymous, unproven, and unproveable allegations regarding Foley.

I think Mark Foley is a big, sleazy jerk. When he got caught, he resigned without even having to be pressured. That said, when Clinton did something very similar it was passed off as "a private matter." But it is still fair to say that Clinton was a big, sleazy jerk as well.

Cody's letter was an attempt to point out the hypocrisy of the press, not diminish the sleazy character of either man involved.

Childish, well, maybe—but effective in it's instruction. Funny? Absolutely.
