I used to work in an engineering group for a large company.

Some of my colleagues had a monthly contest whereby they would each chip a few bucks into the kitty and then working in teams of two or three try to come up with the "best" letter for Penthouse Magazine's Forum.

At the end of the month, the engineers would stage a beer barbecue and after everyone was appropriately "sudsed up" they would read the entries aloud, pick the raunchiest one of the lot, award a $50 prize to the writers, and mail the document to Penthouse.

Their work product was inevitably the number one or two lead in the magazine's feature column each month for several years.

In the same vein, maybe a few perverts on this thread .....

They knew, Zakeet. They (Penthouse editors) were getting paid for it, and your buddies were writing it for free. ;)
