The author also writes for the NYSlimes. I am not certain he is a muslim despite his name because, in addition to the non-muslim tone of the article, he didn't insert the usual "PB&J" thing when he mentioned Mo's name.

For Western Europe, it's too late...just on demographics alone, it will become Islamic.

Just get the nukes out of England and France before it happens.

He could have been talking to the rank and file Europeans.

Their leadership still seems to think they can strike a deal with Muslim fanatcis for a few more years of living like humans before being dragged down to the depths of Islamic rules.

Imagine if 1/3 of our population were Quakers. or Amish. Would they still be free to act and dress the way they do? Amish is an excellent comparison because they foresake technology and would be death for the economy because of their rejection of materialism.

Why even confront them? 1. Immediately discontinue processing citizenship and greencard-like applications by those self-identifying as muslim

2. Discontinue benefits to muslim illegals

3. Deport muslim illegals

Sing their praises to the rafters and THROW THEM OUT.

pb&j? lol!

I couldn't tell for sure either, although he did use the phrase "militant islam" at the end of the article. You know me. I'm one of those who refuses to qualify Islam with an adjective.

It was a good article, though. Whether he's a Muslim or not, he understands that something big is rising up against Islam.

The dialogue is over. The time for action is closing in.

I have seen many posts on FR bemoaning the 'inevitable' Islamic takeover of Western Europe. I don't see it this way. The only inevitability I see is a violent confrontation with Islam, one which the Muslims will lose. Out of the ashes will emerge a more unified Europe with the clear understanding that Islam is not compatible with Western democracies, and immigration policies will reflect that obvious fact.

The premise of this article, leads one to believe that for all of our efforts at "making nice" with all Muslim nations, is a waste, and I completely concur..

Whenever you want to win a war, one goal that MUST be achieved is to destroy the belief of the enemy. The belief that they can prevail. The belief that their cause is just. The belief that sacrifice is meaningful, and the belief that there is a reward. To the Islamic nations, that belief centers on the rewards of death for being faithful to the cause. We should begin a systematic campaign to destroy that faith.

We should turn their mosques into pig farms, summarily execute those caught in acts of defiance of us, with pork encased bullets and bury them in pig skin. We must find out every tenet of their faith, and purposely dismantle it. If they believe Allah will protect them during Ramadan, attack them. If they believe that Allah blesses them with children, put hormones in the water supply so they cannot conceive. Find ALL of the curses that Allah brings on them for being infidels, and rain it on them ten fold. Kill all animals that are "clean" to eat, leave only an abundance of swine. Drop copies of porno mags and airline bottles of booze on city streets. Urinated and defecated on korans. Make toilet paper with koran verses. IOW debase and humiliate them at every turn.

When a terrorist blows himself up in hopes of killing and reaching heaven, kill all members of his family. Unless we are willing to do what is necessary to fight these people, we are reaping a whirlwind.

Offer them a chance to submit, or kill them. It is the one thing they understand.

The most important thing is, declare Islam to NOT be a religion, and deport those of that faith that are not citizens.

I'd say this guy is a mozzie but the dubai bunch aren't your usual type. they are mostly interested in making money. If any of you are familiar with the 'Les Camps de Saints' - The Camp of the Saints - read up about it. one of the main defenders of the europeans was an indian. Raspail deliberately made this point that some of them can be our allies.

It was telling, for example, to see how Europeans greeted the naïve commentary that surfaced in America's National Intelligence Estimate, titled "Trends in Global Terrorism: Implications for the United States." The NIE told bemused Europeans, among other things, that "greater pluralism and more responsive political systems in Muslim majority nations would alleviate some of the grievances jihadists exploit."

Situated closer than America to that rough neighborhood called the Middle East, Europeans reacted by noting that the chances for "greater pluralism" in any Muslim country are about as plausible as hell freezing over.

This is such pathetic role reversal. I don't know who this Youssef Ibrahim clown is, but to attempt to paint the US (victims of 9/11) as naive to the Islamic murderer's threats, while wily, swift Euros are sure 'nough right on top of it, is to brand himself as a hypocritical socialist fool, IMO.

The article says:

Europe is no longer dithering. Every other week, parliaments are restricting the freedom of expression of Muslim fundamentalists, preachers, and madrassas, and questioning every value that militant Islam has attempted to sneak into the Continent over the past 20 years.

It sure took a while. Maybe they need one big bombing instead a few small ones to really wake them up.

Threatening the Pope, shooting nuns in the back, threatening Denmark, blowing-up airliners & Trade-centers, beheading people, vowing to convert all non-muslims...

What are the key ones I've missed?

My European tour made it eminently clear that Western Europeans — if not their more liberal, compromised ruling and business elites — believe that for Muslims living in the West, it's either Western ways or the highway.

Which is really only to say, the people he talked to said this ... and we don't really know who he was talking to. One likewise suspects that his "liberal, compromised" class includes pretty much anybody who has a different view on the topic than those with whom he was speaking.

It's a valuable article, but I don't know that his discussion of "Western European views" is actually trustworthy. In fact, one might almost think it was intended to increase, rather than decrease the impression of tension. If the guy's a Muslim (it seems likely: he's Egyptian), one has to be careful about judging his intent.

OTOH, I'm currently reading A Tale of Two Cities, and it's interesting to read this article in the context of Dickens's description of the French peasants prior to the Revolution. It is likely that, eventually, the "peasants" of today will become fed up with the "youths," and do something about them. I think we see that happening.

What we cannot conclude from this article, is that the NIE is incorrect. It's probably not -- and indeed, the only way to address radical Islamism without massive bloodshed, is to attempt to find and promote that moderate core.
