great info Deb. Thanks as usual
lol~!
My first grade teacher gave me a book at the end of the school year, inscribed it and signed her name. Of course I still have it, and will never forget her name, or her!
Actually, right now I'm blanking on the LAST name of my first grade teacher...........and I loved her!
Halfsheimers. Too many years ago, I guess......
I think that is probably taken when he was being introduced
Did you see in the photo of me I am wearing the necklace?
Thanks
I know Des Moines is the most liberal part of the state, I have no idea what the majority party thought are in Iowa City, but geeze, Harkin as one of your senators????
No, Snugs! What post #? I didn't get to finish reading everything...I heard the pinger go off! LOL! I am so glad you are enjoying it.
69
Thanks. Let me go find it!
Very good...and I just LOVE your new hairstyle. Very becoming.
Am here very late tonight and only for a minute. Will peruse more slowly tomorrow. Thank you for your work, Snugs! I just love the photo of the day!
I'm trying not to think about it. : ) Are you sure about DM being the most liberal? All the Iowa FReepers have been warning me about Iowa City. I'm not gonna worry too much. There's no way on God's green earth any part of Iowa could be more liberal than Seattle.
***I think her first name was just "Mrs." ;)***
LOL!
The wife of a friend of mine told me that her husband's students keep inviting him home for Thanksgiving and Christmas because he says he's there to TEACH and not talk about his home life, so they think he doesn't have any.
WHAT A CONCEPT!
He's a wonderful person, by the way. At our last reunion, he took me aside and told me something wonderful about my father that I never knew. We lost my father many years ago, and I was so thrilled to know that someone else missed him still.
you are right about Seattle...I'm from Nebraska so Iowa City is clear across the state from me, I don't know the politics of it. But I do know the state votes more blue than red..
(btw, your first paragraph reminds me of a book I read to my kids called, "My Teacher Sleeps in School"..............about a bunch of kids who think that because she was there when they got there and there when they left that she lived in the school.
Cute book. :)
Very cool photos, snugs, of my very favorite people in the U.S. -- our troops! God bless each of them!
Congrats!
I believe you summed it up nicely..
