CLAIM: FILTHY FOLEY ONLINE MESSAGES WERE PAGE PRANK GONE AWRY
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.
The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.
The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.
The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.
Developing...
And the second Nancy Pelosi is in charge she's going to ram through a gay rights agenda that'll make it unlawful for anyone to even use the term "chickenhawk".
this just in on Drudge
CNN: PAGE LAWYER DOES NOT RULE 'IN OR OUT' PRANK CLAIM... DEVELOPING... BLITZER: He will join us live in the next hour. What are you hearing, brian, about some of these internet suggesttions, some republicans suggesting this whole thing is a prank, a hoax and there is no there, there.
TODD: We asked him about that item in the report. He said very clearly he cannot rule that in, he cannot rule that out. He says he is not saying it was not a prank but later in the interview, cnn pressed him on that. He said that he -- he does not read the drudge report not part of his regular reading and, quote, it sounds like a piece of fiction. It is similar to a comment he made yesterday on that. Also important to note that abc news says its sources indicate the drudge report that their report this is a hoax is not true.
"Foley is clearly an aging gay drunk looking for a date."
No kidding. Here's an IM exchange that I hadn't seen before, with Foley more or less asking Tyson Vivyan out, and commiserating with the poor thing for getting fired from his flight attendant job with AirTran, lol:
Session Start (AIM - Tyson:maf54): Thu Aug 19 22:56:23 2004
Tyson: hey, Mark.
maf54: hey tyson
Tyson: i've got a quick question, if you don't mind.
maf54: ok
Tyson: what do you think about Zach Wamp (TN-3)?
maf54: why
Tyson: i ran into him at the Atlanta airport about 2 weeks ago. i introduced myself and recalled that we sat next to one another during the President of Chile's address to a joint session of Congress when i was a page. he asked what i was doing now and i told him about being in training with AirTran, but that i desire to return to the Hill one day, despite my lack of a degree. he seemed interested and asked if i could send "Pauline" in his Chattanooga office some info... saying that he could try to get me into an entry level position in his DC office. given that i'm quite liberal, i'm just curious just how conservative an environment i could expect... and if trying is even worth it.
maf54: of course it would be worth it
Tyson: well, i'm not ignorant to the fact that getting back to DC would be a dream come true, but i just don't know how well i could function in his office if he's a bible-thumping, gay-hating, bomb-dropping republican. while i'm confident i can remain focused on serving the people of the third district, i don't know if betraying my own political and social beliefs are worth achieving my dream of getting back on the Hill.
Tyson: plus, who's to say that he was even being genuine in his offer. he could have just said that to get me off his back so he could drink his Starbucks.
maf54: well thats a consideration
Tyson: i don't know much about him.
Tyson: hence why i'm asking you.
maf54: hes a trip
Tyson: a good trip or a bad trip?
maf54: a trip
Tyson: lol
Tyson: :-p
Tyson: well, that doesn't help me much
maf54: so are you single now
maf54: no ties that bind
Tyson: the divorce should be final in the next two weeks.
Tyson: why do you ask?
maf54: cool
maf54: cause
Tyson: you lookin' for a boyfriend?
maf54: yup
Tyson: are you ever gonna come out or are you happy in the closet?
maf54: with a nice d***
maf54: i love the closet like you do
Tyson: WHATEVER! :-p
maf54: oh ok
Tyson: i've been so flaming at training the past four weeks. (i graduate tomorrow by the way)
maf54: cool congrats
Tyson: thanks. i don't have to do my operating experience until Thursday, so that gives me 5 days with no work and free flight bennies... i'm trying to decide what to do...
maf54: cool
*** maf54 signed off at Thu Aug 19 23:13:21 2004.
Session Start (Tyson:maf54): Tue Jan 18 15:47:06 2005

Session Start (Tyson:maf54): Tue Jan 18 16:19:20 2005

Tyson: passenger turned in a complaint. i wasn't given any details, so i couldn't defend myself. since i was still on probation, they just let me go.
maf54: reslly
maf54: when do you thimk this happened
Tyson: i don't have a clue. i wasn't given any information. i was just told that someone complained. that's it.

That's a pretty awkward sentence. Is this a triple arms-length denial? By the time you get to the end of the sentence, you forget what it was about!

None of the ex-pages are little kids.
On the other hand, Nancy Pelosi's friends in C.R.E.W. who held onto the supposed evidence didn't know that. They thought Foley was cruising to pick up 12 year olds. They, and she, were quite willing to let little boys be attacked by adult, gay drunks until the right political moment arrived.
Pelosi and her gang of running she-dogs are more reprehensible than Foley who seems to have had some concern that his targets were OLD ENOUGH.
On the other hand, the kid lied didn't he?
Well, entrapment for starters. I'm not saying he's not a bad guy, but if this turns out to be true, he certainly had help getting where he is today.
I keep wondering if those IMs were forged, why does he need a defense attorney?
Pray for W and Our Troops
The media is fawning over Pelosi and Demonizing Hastert. Its really a sick sick world.
Tyson Vivyan sounds as Creepy as Foley!!!YUK!!!!
If you want to archive the contents of this blog before it disappears, better do it now. The same applies to Macsmind and others that have done reporting on this. After they all get cease-and-desist letters and are forced to pull their content, Google and the other search engines will be scrubbed as well.
I got this email yesterday:Dear William Kerr and Passionate America:So I have contacted some of the people I have met in the past few days for advice. My view on this is I have already published the story many people have put this on their websites also. Much of the main stream media has put the story out. The cat is out of the bag. Is Stephen Jones going to send these emails out to thousands of people? I believe I have done nothing wrong legally, until I hear different from people smarter than me I am going to treat this as a threat and leave everything on the website. I could use your help; do you know anyone that can help me? Send me an email."
Please be advised that I represent Jordan Edmund. It is our understanding that you and Passionate American are identifying Mr. Edmund with certain Instant Messages ("IMs"). You have indicated that ABC News mistakenly published these alleged Ims and that you should not have been able to obtain this information. Whether this is true or not is beside the point. Without any foundation or legal permission, you are stating that our client is the person associated with the Ims. Neither ABC News nor Brian Ross have been error free in their reporting in the past. You should not assume that they are correct now. Like all individuals and institutions, they occasionally make mistakes. Therefore, I respectfully demand that you cease any further efforts to identify our client with these alleged Ims and cease publishing such information on Passionate America. Neither you nor Passionate American is authorized to use any photograph of him, his name or his personal information. You should consult with an attorney who is experienced in civil and criminal liability regarding the internet. If you are correct that ABC News should not have released the alleged AOL screen name and that ABC News has risked civil and criminal liability because of the unauthorized release, then your republication of the unauthorized release likewise exposes you to possible liability.
Sincerely,
Stephen Jones JONES, OTJEN, DAVIS, NIXON & JUHL 114 E. Broadway, Suite 1100 P.O. Box 472 Enid, Oklahoma 73702 (580) 242-5500 (580) 242-4556 (fax) sjones@stephenjoneslaw.com

Well, that happens all the time, doesn't it?
If you mean charging someone with a crime when they haven't actually committed a crime, then the answer is categorically, "no."
WOW! I guess so.
check this out.
Just an FYI, I just saw Melanie Sloan on the Local ABC affliate here in Atlanta and she says that she provided the e-mails to the FBI back in July. She is claiming the FBI did nothing because Foley is a Republican.
