WASHINGTON - A senior congressional aide said Wednesday that he alerted House Speaker Dennis Hastert's office two years ago about worrisome conduct by former Rep. Mark Foley with teenage pages.
Kirk Fordham told The Associated Press that when he was told about Foley's inappropriate behavior toward pages, he had "more than one conversation with senior staff at the highest level of the House of Representatives asking them to intervene."
The conversations took place long before the e-mail scandal broke, Fordham said, and at least a year earlier than members of the House GOP leadership have acknowledged.
hey, well everyone that equates pedos and homos should be happy about that.
I think we are going to find out.
"you are going to get creamed"
bad choice of words, perhaps?
So the "shadow government" we've been talking about for so long is the gay lobby, etc., on Capitol Hill and they are here for their revenge?
Great.
Well the rumor was that Steponallofus used to "service" clinton at the WH.

I think your point is a very good one. It's not Hastert could remove Foley from office. What exactly was he supposed to do if there are just rumors? All he could do would be to talk to Foley and tell him to knock it off.
Now if there was any evidence of Foley making sexual advances toward underage pages then he could have contacted law enforcement and then push for censure.
There is no way Hastert could have done any of that just by the content of the emails and some talk about "being creeped out".
I hope I don't step on any toes here, but I would think so. I would think that both positions are like a male being a flight attendant or receptionist.
I still say the page program should be revamped to only include college interns. I just don't think that politicians can be trusted around any attractive person, even those underage. Better to just remove the temptation.
you know what he could have done? Brought in a Dem to ensure that it wasn't a one-party problem.
Speaker Hastert about to go on WGN radio in a few minutes.
Link is on their home page. http://wgntv.trb.com/
got it
Speaker is in a conference call with the other leaders right now per the Corner. He was supposed to be on at 5:20 Chicago time, then his staff called in to say he would be delayed to 5:50. It's 6:10 now, so it should be soon.
they were just asking where Hassert is
It's sound like they are saying Hastert blew them off and he is not in a conference call. What gives?
could be just a scheduling thing .. or something else
Scott Palmer, Hastert's chief of staff, is now denying Fordham's charge that Fordham told Palmer in 2003 on several occasions about Foley's page problem. FYI>

Latest report from Junkie Hill Dude:
Now WGN reporting Hastert Staff saying he's not on the phone with leadership.
And the hosts are saying, "Well he's not on the phone with us either".
They promoted this all day ...

"I still say the page program should be revamped to only include college interns."
Why not just include weight-lifting butches? I mean, they can be in college too.
