WASHINGTON - A senior congressional aide said Wednesday that he alerted House Speaker Dennis Hastert's office two years ago about worrisome conduct by former Rep. Mark Foley with teenage pages.
Kirk Fordham told The Associated Press that when he was told about Foley's inappropriate behavior toward pages, he had "more than one conversation with senior staff at the highest level of the House of Representatives asking them to intervene."
The conversations took place long before the e-mail scandal broke, Fordham said, and at least a year earlier than members of the House GOP leadership have acknowledged.
I also noticed Drudge didn't post anything about the Washington Times HR employee who was arrested for soliciting a kid.
I kind of wonder if Drudge is worried about someone pulling some dirt up about him.
My understanding is that Hastert was not even shown the email; Alexander's staff would not show Hastert's or the clerk's staff the actual email. Hastert was told the page and his family did not want it pursued, just wanted the contact to cease. Hastert also was specifically told the email was not of a sexual nature. Given those statements, I don't think the piling on of Hastert is fair at all.
Then your friend was ripped off. All you have to do is check the box in the IM program that enables logging.
just for fun

Oh wait that was for Clinton with an intern
Is Woodward just a slow speaker or is he retarded or something?
"Again, if this is true."
Unfortunately, Hastert is in the impossible position of proving a negative (he never said anything to me) and the gay dem operative is in the happy position of being believed no matter what.
I think he talks slowly so that mere mortals can understand him.
And yet, they were still released even though the boy nor his parents (receiving end) wanted them released. I'm guessing Foley didn't release them. So, ...ahem...who did?
You are CORRECT Sir.
On MIRC and PARC, which were chat, you had to set the log and save it every time or it would over-write. On AIM a few years ago (read 3ish) you had to copy and paste.
Boy that didn't take long did it? Fordham just resigned and is now yapping away to the press instead of the FBI.
if he's telling the truth though.............

Reynolds Announces New Staff
Congressman hires new Chief of Staff and Communications Director
U.S. Representative Thomas M. Reynolds, R- Clarence, today announced he has hired Kirk Fordham as his Chief of Staff, and L.D. Platt as Communications Director.
I am excited to have both Kirk and L.D. joining my staff," Reynolds said. "They both bring a lot of experience and knowledge to my office. I look forward to working closely with them to continue serving the citizens of the 26th district."
Fordham, comes to Reynolds' office with more than 18 years of legislative, communications and political experience. Most recently, Fordham worked with the DCI Group, a full-service public and government affairs firm. Prior to working at the DCI Group, Fordham served as the finance director for now Senator Mel Martinez's, R-FL, campaign. Fordham also served as Rep. Mark Foley's, R-FL, Chief of Staff and campaign manager, as well as working for then Rep. James Inhofe, R-OK, as his Legislative Director and Deputy Chief of Staff. Fordham, son of James and Yvonne Fordham, is a native of Rochester, NY and a graduate of Greece Olympia High School and the University of Maryland-College Park.
"Kirk is superbly qualified to serve as my Chief of Staff, and hailing from the western New York area, understands the issues concerning the 26th congressional district," added Reynolds. Fordham replaces Mike Brady, who has joined the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) as Director of Strategic Communications.
Platt, originally from western Massachusetts and a graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, most recently served as the Coalitions and Media Coordinator for the House Budget Committee majority staff. Prior to that, Platt worked at the NRCC in various positions in the campaign and communications divisions. He also worked on several political races in Northern Virginia.
"With Kirk and L.D., I have two veteran Capitol Hill staffers dedicated to helping the people of the 26th district," said Reynolds.
Everybody must remember WHERE the Democrats were when the Boy Scouts of America wanted to stop gays from being leaders in the Scouts because they were getting SUED by kids that were molested.
Every single Democrat to my knowledge took the party line that the Scouts had NO RIGHT to attempt to protect kids from gay molesters and let the Scouts twist in the wind.
Kirk Fordham is a drama queen.
WASHINGTON A senior House Republican has asked the House clerk to look into allegations that then-Rep. Mark Foley was turned away from the congressional page dorm on Capitol Hill after arriving there intoxicated one night. Lawmakers have been talking about the alleged incident since Friday, when Foley resigned amid reports he sent sexually explicit Intenet e-mails to a House page. U.S. Rep. Deborah Pryce, R-Ohio, is calling for a further investigation of the dorm report. Congresswoman Pryce contacted the clerk and asked her to look into this rumor, said Geoff Embler, a spokesman for Pryce. Rep. Roger Wicker, a Mississippi Republican, asked Pryce and other House leaders, including House Speaker Dennis Hastert, about the alleged incident during a conference call Monday evening, Embler said.
