How Will Media Handle ‘Bimbo Eruptions’ Now?
The Sun reported over the weekend that former president Bill Clinton is being a naughty boy again:
Ashton Kutcher, star of MTV’s Punk’d, said Clinton, 61, gave Demi, 43, the eye at a recent bash.
Kutcher, 28, told US chat show host Jay Leno that he felt like the invisible man while the three ate together.
He said: “I met Bill Clinton once but he didn’t really talk — he was hitting on my wife.”
Although this certainly shouldn’t come as much of a shock to any seasoned Clinton watcher, a few questions are raised. First, as this is a British newspaper, what is the likelihood of it being reported here in America?
Yet, maybe more important, as the media are now in a full-court press to assist the former president in revising history to further his legacy, how will members of the mainstream press deal with “bimbo eruptions” in the future, especially if Hillary does indeed make a run for the White House in 2008?
After all, the public might have been exceedingly prurient regarding this issue when he was the president. However, such behavior as the First Gentleman might not be as acceptable.
Only time will tell.

I've asked this for years and my wife has patiently explained it to me. Here is what she says: Hitlery is at best a so-called female who doesn't have a clue how to be a woman, or at worst is a full-on lesbian. BUT, she comes from a time when ALL women had to get married in order to prove they were marriageable/attractive and could NOT, if they were lesbian, admit to being such. THEREFORE (in the opinion of my perfect wife) Hitlery would NEVER cast off her one and only 'ticket' to claiming to be female. The short version is - Hitlery could never ever go to her high school reunion as unmarried or divorced because it would be THE black mark for women of that time/age. Makes partial sense to me...but I know enough to respect my wife's opinion. :)
These are Hollywood people. They don't think anything like you and I. Humiliated husbands don't go on talk shows to talk about how moritified they are by their wives' behavior. But actors with aggressive agents will do that. In fact, they will do anything to promote their careers and box office. Kutcher was far more likely to cut clinton a check than to bust him in the chops. As I said before, Kutcher would have to be brain-dead not to know what he married and why.
How about trusting him with your teenaged daughter?

Bill Clinton will continue to be protected by the press no matter how many idiot females with bad taste he hits on. Hillary will be as well, no matter how many females she hits on. These stories will not see the light of day.

I think this is good fodder for the late night comedians, but the real press won't report on it.
How nice of you to post a picture of Ms. Moore wearing a modest costume. Nice. But that still is not a defense, if you will, of appearing in public looking like a tramp at other times. Did you think her girls would never see her dressed on the cheap? My own mother, may she rest in peace, always looked like a lady. So did other "stars". They were beautiful, attractive, always appropriately dressed and would not have embarrassed their own children. So there you go. Enough said. We perhaps disagree on how Ms. Moore presents herself to the public on occasion. She is obviously not consistent, and presents herself to the public at large in contumes that are of, hmmm, questionable taste. That's all. Have a nice day!
