Just breaking on CNN
THAT would be entertaining. :)
He needed to quit.He is not the first and wont be the last.Very stupid on his part but Im not surprised. These people seem to not be able to or just dont care to control their actions. What a dirt bag. Guess he will run as a democrap now.
"He may be a 'short eyes', but the released emails were not overtly sexual. He asked what the kid wanted for his birthday, and to send a photo.
Hell, I just wrote a nephew of mine and asked the same things."
It is the un-released emails that nailed him! From a report I heard there were several other emails that were very sexual toward the young student. Other Republicans told Foley to resign and he needs to get out!
State Rep Joe Nagran (sp) of Stuart throws his hat in the ring. There was a video of him at the Palm Beach Post site. He didn't do anything for me. He apparently dropped out of the AG race.
Federal authorities say such messages could result in Foley's prosecution, under some of the same laws he helped to enact.
"Adds up to soliciting underage children for sex," said Brad Garrett, a former FBI agent and now an ABC News consultant. "And what it amounts to is serious both state and federal violations that could potentially get you a number of years."

see post #850.
I have no idea. Was just curious.
You obviously haven't read the IM's. Read the first few lines then said, "TMI!"
"Does Coulter even know what district she lives in?"
If I had as many homes as she does, I don't know if could be sure, either.
"No."
Okie dokie.
Thanks, Torie.
The difference between Conservatives/GOP and Libbodems is that we welcome/demand the resignation of a Congressperson because he's a dirtbag. OHOH, Libbodems would defend the right of creeps like that to stay in office and they have...many times.
For the purposes of this discussion, yes, they are. One is part of the other. If you are even remotely serious about it, your religion has a large amount to do with creating your value system.
One may influence the other, but using your example......Mormons, Catholics, Baptists, fundamentalists, Church of Christ, etc., etc., etc. share a belief system.
Let me be blunt. Someone who defines their worldview by an intense desire to be identified as someone who likes to take it up the *** from another male does NOT represent me or the overwhelming majority of Americans. Period.
You think because they desire something sexually that they want to base their entire identity on it?
Balderdash. There are hetrosexual couples that like to do some weird stuff too, but it doesn't make them incapable of representing those who don't enjoy whips & chains, dressing up like pirates, etc. or whatever other weird crap they like.
I don't approve of Foley's apparent homosexuality, but you are taking the criticism in an absured direction.
It may be a factor in considering if he can represent you or not, but you simply cannot say with any crediblity that this choice makes him incapable of representing his constituents just because the majority of them do not embrace a similar lifestyle choice. People do not elect clones.
This is a Call to the Republican GLASS CRAWLERS, lets get a conservative in there, and start CRUSHING GLASS for the 100 yard crawl to the voting booth.
I'm glad Foley is gone. It's time for the FL GOP to put this episode behind them and get someone to replace him. Pronto.
"It is the un-released emails that nailed him! From a report I heard there were several other emails that were very sexual toward the young student. Other Republicans told Foley to resign and he needs to get out!"
See..this story is getting more ridiculous by the moment. ABC says that there were PAGES(plural) who came forward within 24 hours of the first email to the FIRST STUDENT being published yesterday. ARGHHH>>>>>>go read the thread and get up to speed before you blast off....PLEASE
This story is about more than ONE PAGE..according to the LSM!!
i AGREE WITH YOUR POINTS.
Excellant points. I agree with you..had only heard part of the story.
More like a Lincoln Log Republican ...
ABC News reported Friday that the resignation came hours after it confronted Foley about sexually explicit communications. ABC News reported that former male congressional pages said the congressman "made repeated references to sexual organs and act" from his AOL Instant Messenger screen name Maf54.

Some of them do just that.
