I was in the process if trying to read Ross's links and I think I picked something up at Drudge.
"sexual organs" and activities in an explicit way.
Not good at all.

LOL....I kinda do sound like "chicken little" today don't I??
Actually, my freeper friends probably would think I am sick if I didn't overreact....LOL
Yes...6 weeks is a long time...a LONG time for the MSM and the dems to just pound on this and the Woodward book, and the NIE report..
ALL of which mean nothing...but, most Americans don't pay as much attention as you and I do...so "gossip" has a tendency to get their attention more than "facts"..
The reason I know this is because I used to be that way..all the way through the 70's and 80's when I was raising my family. I actually believed at the time that Ronald Reagan made some kind of DEAL to have the hostages kept in Iran until Carter would lose the election..
BTW...don't tell anyone about that last part..ok??

"I think Pat Buchanan's from West Palm too." Ain't gonna happen. Patsy's long ago left the GOP, and good riddance to him.

I haven't been on Freerepublic for almost two years now because I was so sickened with the Republican Party. What's happened since the election has only gotten worse. It's unbelievable to me how inept the GOP is. Rush and all the other conservative talking heads make fun of the Democrats but Republicans have become almost like them. I knew from day one Foley was a homo and would be trouble. The good voters of South Carolina better learn from this and get rid of that awful Lindsey Graham. When you look at how these congressional and state races are going, it's incredible disheartening for conservatives. The GOP under Bush I and II has done NOTHING to build on the legacy and foundation that Reagan laid. Sad times for the conservative movement.

From winkipedia:
Foley was one of the foremost critics in the House of child pornography. Foley was chairman of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children. He introduced a bill in 2002 to outlaw websites featuring sexually suggestive images of preteen children, saying that "these websites are nothing more than a fix for pedophiles."[6] In June 2003 he wrote letters to the governor and attorney general of Florida, asking them to review the legality of a program for teenagers of a Lake Como nudist resort in Land O'Lakes, Florida.[7]
Foley's legislation to change federal sex offender laws was supported by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, America's Most Wanted host John Walsh, and a number of victims' rights groups. President George W. Bush signed it into law as part of the Adam Walsh Child Safety and Protection Act of 2006.
Foley also succeeded in getting a law passed that allows volunteer youth-serving organizations like the Boy Scouts of America and Boys and Girls Clubs to have access to FBI fingerprint background checks to help protect children

Hell, and some FReepers get hot under the collar when there's even a hint that those running for office, if there's an R behind their name doesn't get every FReepes vote without question.
If things keep going the way they are, we won't have to vote, the dims will get the seats by default. And, it won't be because we didn't vote for them, they did it to themselves.
To: bahblahbah
If he didn't do anything wrong, then he shouldn't have dropped out. What an idiot. Earlier today I was in the "let's get more info before we brand him a perv" crowd. Since he not only dropped out of the race, but totally resigned it's hard not to believe that he is, at the very least, guilty of lusting after young men. Ick

Florida rules :
In the event that death, resignation, withdrawal, removal, or any other cause or event should cause a party to have a vacancy in nomination which leaves no candidate for an office from such party, the Department of State shall notify the chair of the appropriate state, district, or county political party executive committee of such party; and, within 5 days, the chair shall call a meeting of his or her executive committee to consider designation of a nominee to fill the vacancy. The name of any person so designated shall be submitted to the Department of State within 7 days after notice to the chair in order that the person designated may have his or her name on the ballot of the ensuing general election.
If the name of the new nominee is submitted after the certification of results of the preceding primary election, however, the ballots shall not be changed and the former party nominee's name will appear on the ballot. Any ballots cast for the former party nominee will be counted for the person designated by the political party to replace the former party nominee. If there is no opposition to the party nominee, the person designated by the political party to replace the former party nominee will be elected to office at the general election. For purposes of this paragraph, the term "district political party executive committee" means the members of the state executive committee of a political party from those counties comprising the area involving a district office.

Pssst! Don't feel bad. I used to believe that too back then.

Tommy Franks lives in Tampa. He is not a resident of the district. I have asked FReepers about the residency requirement. The only answer I got is that a candidate need only to show intent to live in the district. I do not know if this is true or not.
