We've just begun a serious discussion at our house about whether we will withdraw from shopping at Wal-Mart. They are close by; we spend thousands of dollars there a year; but they have succumbed to pressure and are actively promoting the homosexual agenda and homosexual marriage. Just look at what they are doing in Idaho, where Family Leader is working hard to pass a state marriage protection amendment.
Enough is Enough
Wal-Mart Sponsoring Diversity Week
The following is a report from our friends at the American Family Association. We work in coalition with them on several projects through our Washington D.C. affiliation.
Wal-Mart has given its full endorsement to the homosexual agenda and homosexual marriage. Boise State University in Boise, Idaho, will observe LGBT Diversity Week October 9-13. One of the sponsors for the Diversity Week is Wal-Mart.
Wal-Mart is joining the Pleasure Boutique (an adult bookstore which bills itself as "Idaho's largest selection of adult movies and DVDs and largest adult toy selection in Idaho") and other groups in sponsoring the week. Diversity Week is a week of celebrating homosexuality and promoting the homosexual agenda and homosexual marriage.
Among the events being sponsored by Wal-Mart is Idaho Votes No Campaign Update and Information Workshop. Voters in Idaho will be voting on a constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage in November. This Wal-Mart sponsored event will inform voters how to oppose the amendment and how to get others to do so. Wal-Mart is putting their money behind the effort to legalize homosexual marriage.
Other events being sponsored by Wal-Mart: Gay History of Idaho, Diversity in the Workplace, Women's/Lesbian Issues, Hate Based Crimes, Heterosexism, Homosexuality and Disabilities, LGBT Youth in Trouble, MCC-Faith and LGBT, and a youth dance for those age 24 and under.
Wal-Mart is throwing their clout and cash behind the homosexual marriage effort.
What the point if the plumbing of your is (++) or (--) you need a (+ - )to procreate!:)
I believe they do but it really doesn't matter. I used Sears as another retailer to buy the similar product. You may substitute Home Depot, Tool Box or any other retailer.
Don't even go there, Warren.
The first thing I learned in statistics class is that statistics don't lie, but they can always be skewed.
Will you ignore the studies that show children raised in gay families have a HIGHER rate of college attendance, economic stability, and emotional well-being than children raised in the so-called "traditional" family?
It doesn't mean anything. Stats are as useless as the people who spout them.
I'm not, as I truly believe the vast majority of people are not crooked or thieves. There are exceptions to every rule, as our prisons attest, however there are more people on the outside than the inside.
Excellent point. People, in general, are good and honest.
There are two things that are certain in life:
A) Things are always getting better, 2) People always think things are getting worse.
It doesn't hurt me any if two guys want to marry each other. Doesn't hurt you, either.
I can't argue with you on that..............nor about your previous comment in regard to the use of stats.
As a former bookkeeper for a major retailer I was paid well above minimum wage, in addition most retailers encode checks not the banks. You give way to much credit to the banking industry. I'm sorry you had a terrible experience with e-checking, but checks are obsolete thanks to the incredible amount of loss each year from people "writing bad checks".
Don't know who their shoppeers are?
Maybe they know that their shoppers cover all ends of the spectrum. Some others here have mentioned Target being a viable alternative, they aren't exactly a poster child for the anti-gay lobby. These boycotts get to be quite entertaining. The southern baptists boycotted Disney for years, but nobody really noticed. WalMart will market to anyone they think they can attract into their stores. I can't wait for the possibility of them one day deciding start to market to those of the Muslim faith, maybe have a Ramadan sale or possibly sell prayer rugs in the housewares department, some here will have a major meltdown. If these Boycott threats meant anything, most of the 'Boycotters' wouldn;t be able to shop anywhere except for their local christian bookstores.
My point had nothing to do with gay families, WalMart boycotts, or any other such silliness.
GS made an assertion stated as fact that I reject - that ANY familial arrangement is just as good as the other. That's just flat-out wrong.
If statistics aren't your thing, perhaps something more experiential: I can take you to a neighborhood in Nashville where single-parenthood is over 95%. We'll go down there and hang around a while, maybe at night.
We'll see firsthand the effect of single-parenthood on communities. Or better yet - my band is playing a service in TNs largest state prison this Sunday. Do you want me to get a show of hands of how many were raised without a father?
Once again, I am only commenting on GSs assertion that all familiar arrangements are equal. NOT anything having to do with homosexuality.
"Wait! I get people riled up all the time and I never see any money out of it. Mostly they just throw stuff at me...
"
You don't see...you gotsta getta website to rile people up. Then you put a big [Donate] button on it, right up near the top (put one on the bottom, too, so folks who know how to scroll can see it).
Then, all you need is a merchant account so you can take credit cards. Those folks you rile up will line up 12 deep to send you their money.
Thousands of websites can't be wrong.
Men who practical same-gender sex be they homo or bi will soon in generations to come or sooner take on the nature of the Taliban or Jhaid they are abusive to women and and use young defendless boys for their pleasure and also committ all kinds of hideous acts to get gain!
They become void of all humanity!
Much does not make the news of all the tradgy that goes on behind the blackout.
Remember Aids and how many would have sex and were indiffent toward life and other or what happen to those who were Aids free!
Many of us would read those stories and just was in astonishment....
...just like those who today are suicide bombers
This thing takes on a life of its own beyond the sensation or pleasure of the moment for many it is lethal force!
You can not violate nature with out reeking chaos and all void of humanity
MM - you shouldn't have posted that! You could have set up your own website that, for a small fee of $19.99, would disclose MineralMan's "secrets" for internet wealth! Show big houses and boats (implying they're yours). Get a few testimonials.
Dang, maybe I'll do it myself!
"If I owned a business, there would be no "diversity", no "heritage" months, no "awareness" campaigns. Just provide goods and services economically and fairly and keep the politics out of it."
Family Dollar has just about everything I need and would purchase from a Wal-Mart and a lot quicker in and out
My momma taught me when I was just a wee lad that such personal questions are rude.
True
But today many are in your face so you don't have to ask!
Yep. Wal-Mart and Sam's Club patrons are butt-ugly and THAT's why I won't shop there. Disagree? Check out either in North Charleston, SC. T-shirts, tataos
Hey, if we both put up websites, we could write testimonials for each other. We could even link to each other and make references to the battles the other is waging against [insert horrible thing here].
I like the big house and boat thing. You gotta look prosperous to show that lots of other people have clicked that [Donate] button.
Hey...this thing could work!
I agree.
