Oh, I can't watch TV. I didn't bring mine to DC cuz we only get local channels in our rooms, which I almost never watch. If we want to watch cable, we have to go downstairs to the basement. This building houses 120 women so I doubt the likelihood of me being able to watch anything, ever. I haven't watched TV since before I got to DC. I just meant that I didn't see it online anywhere.

Yeah, recovery is the worst. Trying to get used to doing things that used to be so easy. *sigh* You never realize how useful something is until you can't use it. Maybe I could have a meeting with him and we can share surgery stories :P

Thank you muchly for the recap. From the way McCain spoke of the Senate action on the matter of questioning the enemy, you would have thought that HE, McCain, had won. It was only when the announced said that Pres. Bush is urging the Senate to get it signed before they recess for elections that you'd know BUSH WON!

And the rest of your recap is fantastic.

I was outside in the gazebo (my just painted chocolate and caramel gazebo...named in honor of Mayor Nagin ;-)...watching Wei East on HSN... We do the editing of the promo spots. The China Herbal, Chestnut and White Lotus spots are my voice, and the White Lotus woman at the end of the promo (spritzing water on her face and applying the WL cream) is one of my best friends. They have a new lady for the voice over for her makeup line, and the Wei East Silk line. My brother did the animation for the makeup line.... Wei East's lineup is really great stuff--I'm not just saying that because we edit the promos. I've tried it and it's excellent quality and does what she says--smells really fresh too.

Okay...sorry about the long personal story! ;-)

Yah, sorry you had to go through so much, too. And, my young friend...it doesn't get any easier as your shell grows older ;-)

Sheesh...I'm still trying to figure out how I broke my ankle by twisting it. But there was also the time I broke my elbow...and then when I reinjured it several years later and found out that it never healed properly...oh, and there was the time I sprained my wrist...I'd say I don't have a very good track record now.

Think of all the things that happened in Poppy Bush's career, how many different things he did. Ambassador to China, CIA, vice prez, wasn't he in the House of Representatives as well?

I remember John Quincy Adams, who served in the House of Representatives after he was president. Secretary of State too. Worked with an ambassador as a young man, in Russia.
While in the House, he was fighting slavery and the gag rule [don't talk about slavery] in the years leading up to the civil war.

There is much good W and Jeb can do, many things to consider, after their terms of office are over.
