Lauer/Bush on Today show: Pretty tense
Today show
Posted on 09/11/2006 9:07:21 AM PDT by quesney
Did anyone else see the exchange between President Bush and the Today show's Matt Lauer this morning on the Today show?
I tuned in near the end, and it looked pretty intense. Lauer was a very aggressive in his hand gestures, repeatedly pointing a stern finger into the president's chest. Almost looked like it would turn physical. Would appreciate a link to any online video.

Matt Lauer believes himself to be a significant human, with a significant task..
All we expect from these freaking "news readers" is to READ the news -- don't attempt to make, interpret, hide, color or be part of the news..
Arrogant bastards.

BTW anyone have an NBC/Today Show contact phone number? I'd like to start a little trouble and voice my disapproval.

topic was post-9/11 security measures. video is on the today show homepage. Problem is you need to download their no-doubt-ad-filled software. I'd rather not. If anyone has an indepednent link, please post. I want to show this to others. I was appalled.

Why does the administration continue to treat these "journalists" as respected entities? I'd refuse every overture made by an MSM establishment, I'd revoke David Gregory's WH press pass due to his unprofessional behavior, and I'd use the alternate media for interviews and also to get my message out.
Call the MSM nutjobs for what they are...political enemies.

Who does he think he is? He thinks he is superior to anybody on the right and therefore automatically talks "down" to them. He can't help himself. It's as much a part of his so called character as is his condescending tone of voice........

"My husband and I thought it was pretty disgusting how the president had to explain things to Lauer as if Matt was a 9 year old."
That doesn't surprise me since most news articles are written at grammar school reading levels.

Yes, pre-recorded so it could be edited in Lauer's favor. What a dingleberry.

Did you see this? Can you provide a video link or further information?
Sounds like Lauer went over the top. Again. Still. Typically.

I am 63, but I can still hold my own with the likes of Lauer. He could use a good taste of whup-ass.

Try www.hotair.com later today. They often have good video. Unfortunately, it looks like they are trying to corner the market by taking over everybody else. Too bad.

You know, the British use "News Readers" on their stations, and I bet they cost very little. NBCBSABCNN could save themselves (AND THEIR STOCKHOLDERS) tons of money.......
