[history]
I didn't hear if anyone was planning for a live thread of the film tonight. Just in case anyone wants to start early. Some in Australia already have seen part 1. Part 1 airs tonight at 8pm Eastern Time on ABC.

I was kind of surprised how sweet-smelling R. Clarke came out in part one.
Excepting the above, the director really did a good job in portraying those who had authority and were comfortable using it vs. those with small minds who were caught fumbling in the dark with their keys at the door when the terrorists were on the other side.

"Crystal said before adding, "The Republicans, I can't even say their name - I gag."
I really don't know what to say anymore other than that these elitist idiots must be living in some bubble that has nothing to do with reality.

I was glad I'd seen the six video clips online before the program began last night, so I could dash to the bathroom.

President Bush had only been in office 7 months and 21 days when 9/11 happened and some of that was used up moving in and out of temporary quarters then into their permanent ones which they would have been preparing to do under normal circumstances the day after the election in November and there was also the delay of getting new equipment to replace that which the clinton cronies destroyed. He was also having to work with a skeleton staff because of all the hangups the clinton's caused with the multiple recounts over the hanging chads and useless time consuming court cases.

I had planned to watch it on WABC-NY at 6:00pm my time, and then we had storms here that lasted a long while, which I was hoping would have lasted only an hour where I could watch it on KMGH-Denver at 7:00pm, but I ended up watching it all on KABC-Los Angeles at 9:00pm.
Ah, the joys of "time shifting".

Would someone please tell me what clinton did for 8 years other than go to official functions and get serviced by Monica in the oval office. Sure seems like he didn't get involved in what he was elected to do, but he did take credit for what others did IIRC. We see pictures all the time of President Bush in meetings with his cabinet but I don't recall ever seeing and of clinton doing the same.

Well, here on the left coast, we have to wait another 3 hours, but apparently tommorrow, September 11th, it's more important for ABC to show Monday Night Football at 8pm and wait until Saturday to let us see the rest of this miniseries.....Monday Night Football is no longer on ABC, it's been moved to ESPN effectively this season. Their first stab at doing MNF will almost seem like Super Bowl Sunday, as their coverage starts at 1:00pm ET and then 6 hours later they start with a MNF double header.
