I didn't hear if anyone was planning for a live thread of the film tonight. Just in case anyone wants to start early. Some in Australia already have seen part 1. Part 1 airs tonight at 8pm Eastern Time on ABC.
And I understand the second half tomorrow will not be pleasant for the Republicans.
Nightline is on now
So good to know you're home...watching this in the U.S.A :)
I didn't see anything in the previews about the U.S.S. Cole.
I found this. I hope it helps it's NY Times (I know...) but since it was 1997, it prob fair "New York City police, acting on tip, burst into Park Slope apartment and discover components of bomb that apparently was to be used in terrorist attacks on subway and bus; two men with Jordanian passports are arrested; police open fire and wound two after one appears to make move to detonate bomb; police recover nine-inch pipe packed with gunpowder and nails, but lack of timer or remote-control suggests suicide attack was planned; blocks are evacuated, subway service is halted and traffic is tied up for hours in Brooklyn; photos; map; plot was revealed when one of apartment's occupants waved down police officer to confess; Mayor Rudolph Giuliani says one of suspects expressed support for latest suicide bombing in Jerusalem, which killed 13 people; police and FBI say suspects appear to have targeted 'US and Jewish interests worldwide'; one suspect, Gazi Ibrahim Abu Mezer, 23, had applied for US asylum and listed arrest in Israel as suspected terrorist; 22-year-old Lafi Khalil's address book contained name of 'member of known terrorist group'; two have been in US for six months and identified themselves as Palestinians; Mezer, in hospital, gives authorities instructions on deactivating bombs; third man in apartment, Abdul Rahman Mosabah, 31-year-old Egyptian who entered US two weeks ago, is being questioned; likely bomb target was busy Atlantic Avenue subway..."

And here comes the Bush hit piece- why haven't we got UBL?
It appears to be over. Of course it will be shown again.
Nightline now:
The hunt for OBL.
Live from Afghanistan.
The bombing of the USS Cole.
Oh, but this movie is "not to place blame"
they were never planning commercials w/ this one.
SHhhhhh. The BoogeyMan is bad. Take your shoes off at the airport, no liquids, gels, or anything similar. Fear not! Even though the TSA and the Federal government will impose restrictions upon natural born US citizens that have traveled for years, there shall never be any inconvenience imposed upon our fine Islamic guests. After all, even Faux Snooze imposed allowed their personnel to convert to the peaceful ways of Islam.
neither did I
Does anyone have a time line graphic?
REMEMBER FOLKS THE NEW YORK TIMES IS REVEALING TO THE ENEMY HOW WE TRACKED THESE MONSTERS.
HOW MANY DEMOCRATS VOTED AGAINS THE PATRIOT ACT?
We have already seen what happens when it is a Clinton vs Al Qeda fight.
Never forget.
"the Oneil guy is awesome!!!"
For some background, here's a link to website for PBS's "Frontline"
segment on O'Neil "The Man Who Knew"
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/knew/
I usually hate to recommend PBS productions, but this was one of Frontline's
best productions.
They hustled them all out of the country, supposedly for their safety.
Well, what did they cut out. Getting ready to watch here.
The Chief of Joints. lol
I just went dumpster diving over at DU...
On the google supplied adds at the top of the page was an add for The Path to 911 and abc.com
Too funny.
That remains to be seen. They didn't show anything about it in the coming attractions for tomorrow night. Maybe they'll say O'Neill went to Niger to drink mint tea with Joe Wilson.
RIght, which means of the 1:40 tomorrow, some has to be about Cole.
And Bush will interrupt the show in the middle, right when it's probably attacking him.
Oh, now ABC is going to be "balanced" by talking about how Bush can't capture Bin Laden.
