Bald assertion.
That's the evidence that's staring everyone in the face that some refuse to see or acknowledge. Science depends on it and we are expected to believe that what goes on in a science lab is a result of intelligence and design.
There is no such expectation or dependency. Science observes what happens, measures, uses proper inductive reasoning and a rigorous methodology.
But then we are told that the order and complexity just happened by itself and there's absolutely no basis for that conclusion. There's nothing to support it.
Other than millions of fossils and other evidence and the ability to think, test and conclude (if by "by itself" you mean as a result of natural forces.)
There are countless examples in the world around us of order and complexity that are known to have their origin as a result of intelligence. Give me one example where order and complexity are known to arise from a non intelligent cause, without assuming the conclusion, that the universe came into existence with out intelligence, and you would have a point.
They are far more evidence of a worldwide Flood (organic things rot, they would have to be buried relatively fast in mineral-rich sediment to be fossilized). As you mentioned, there are millions of fossils, and yet fossilization does not occur all that easily. The Flood fits the conditions to fossilize a lots of organics, all over the world.
