ABC toned down a scene that involved Clinton's national security adviser, Samuel "Sandy" Berger, declining to give the order to kill bin Laden, according to a person involved with the film who declined to be identified. "That sequence has been the focus of attention," the source said.
The network also decided that the credits would say the film is based "in part" on the 9/11 panel report, rather than "based on" the report, as the producers originally intended.

Good idea.
Good stuph over there at sticky notes!
Thanks!
I feel virtually the same way.
At this point even a slight editing job taints the whole thing, not sure I really want to reward them by watching it even if Clinton still doesn't come off pretty.
I'll wait making final decision until other respected people can judge to what extent of a hatchet job was done, but I'm not rewarding even a moderate whitewash with viewership.
Personally .. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to find out this is all a game .. Clinton protests .. ABC removes .. causing more people to watch to see what else the Clintons might have been upset about.
ABC does not have very good ratings .. it just makes me wonder if this was a put-up job to begin with.
The story here is the backlash that the Disney/ABC execs experienced was completely unexpected and is what caused them to question themselves and make these changes at all. Had this been the Bush Admin pressuring, they wouldnt have even taken the call. The execs and studio bosses are dyed in the wool liberals and huge supporters of Clinton and the Democratic Party in general. They had no idea any of this could happen. As I understand this, the lawyers and production team spent literally months corroborating every story point down to the sentence. The fact that they were the attacked and vilified by their own team took them completely by surprise; this is the first time theyve been labeled right-wing, conservative conspiracists.

There was no thinking, but little Bill was sure busy, LOL.
What will the "movie" BE.....after the Clinton machine is finished with it?
Being as Bubba was America's first "Black" president, when will the NAACP, Je$$e J@ck@$$, Fat Al Sharpton, et.al. be weighing in on this "high tech lynching" of a "Black" man?
But it wouldn't surprise me if ABC did cave.
BUMP
I just wrote and thanked them for making the film.
Bill's presidency can be summarised thusly: lust of the flesh, lust for money and fame, lust for a grand legacy. What he reaped was a fat bank account and possibly a social disease.
On radio (8pm Pacific), you can listen online (link in the thread).
Funny I was wondering the same thing last night because since when does the media go up against the Clintons or put them in a bad light?
Hopefully, the social disease gets him before he enjoys the fat back account. But we all know well that he's having the best time of his life now that he's a celebrity.
He was a crappy president, but he could have made for a good Hollywood celebrity - we all know that he has the acting ability. ;-)
Yep, and he can cry really well. :-)
They changed the scene to where he writes the order to kill Bin Laden down on a piece of paper ... and then shoves it down his pants.
That's believable.
I still expect Clinton to have his own TV talk show in the near future. However, his purient interests would require that the programme air after prime time.
