A majority of Canadians believe U.S. foreign policy was one of the root causes that led to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, and Quebecers are quicker to criticize the U.S. administration for its international actions than other Canadians, a recent poll suggests.
Those conclusions are found in a newly released poll conducted by Léger Marketing for the Association for Canadian Studies.
The poll suggests that 77 per cent of Quebecers polled primarily blame American foreign policy for the Sept. 11 attacks. The results suggest 57 per cent in Ontario hold a similar view.
Canadian opinions have hardened against the United States and its role on the world stage, said Jack Jedwab, executive director of the Association for Canadian Studies. The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have contributed to a change of heart among people, he said.

Sorry, no one made you take them in the first place. You wanted them, their yours. You can keep them, their sterling character and their offspring.

Polls, as I noticed on a Canadian poll, during the PM election, the poll used a sample of 1400 voters. Much larger than normal.
Guess IPOS couldn't belive that Stephen Harper was winning and was trying to get the "Correct" answer!!
Well our Canadian FRiends did vote the right way!!

I don't know that despise is the correct word. I just have contempt for their ignorance. I'm sure they're decent people otherwise, but they've allowed themselves to be brainwashed by their media into believing America is somehow some great beast.
On the other hand, I perhaps should reserve judgment knowing how often the media manipulates such polls to get the outcome they desire. We know it goes on all the time here in the US. So it probably goes on in spades in Canada when it comes to their American-hating media wanting to see the finger of blame pointed at the US.

"... where are those posters that attacked me a week or so ago when I said many Americans despise Canadians?"
As I recall, you were 'attacked' for being a moron.
Case in point:
blindly accepting an obviously agenda-driven msm poll without knowing any of it's no doubt manipulative particulars simply because it seems to support your own otherwise irrational hatred of America's friends & allies.
Neither citizenship nor geographic locale has much, if any, bearing on liberal denial and/or stupidity.

"... terrorists ... entered the country from Canada, using a ferry connecting Nova Scotia with Maine ..."
U.S. senator revives 9/11 myth about Canada which even Newt Gingrich has conceded, along with apologizing for circulating same, has absolutely no basis in fact whatsoever.

Don't forget that the terrorists that hijacked the planes at Logan Airport in Boston entered the country from Canada,...
That is not true.

Are Canadians really that stupid?
I don't think they are stupid - just dumbed down after so many leftists like Chretien and Martin at their helm. I'm still willing to see if Martin can reverse the trend.

"When participants were given the option of choosing more than one cause for the attacks, two-thirds blamed Islamic fundamentalists and their anti-Western views, while a third pointed the finger at Israel and its position in the Middle East"It makes sense now. The communist CBC hooked up with the Canadian equivalent of Zogby to produce a push poll that gives the CBC an excuse to run their latest "America Sucks and Bush Sucks!" screed. This one belongs in the trash, along with 95 percent of the crap our own DBM pumps out.

Agreed. We'll do a swap: We'll take back the draft dodgers, you take back the western-hating maple-leafers.
Maybe Canada would go in 50/50 on a border wall?

We had the millenium terrorist caught coming from Canada.
And I listed plenty of other reason to despise canadians in the other thread, one MSM poll isn't enough.

I guess I'm really gonna have to target those Canada geese this season!

Of course.
My wife and I have a vistor coming from Toronto this weekend. She's a recent convert to a more conservative point of view. The fact that one of the terrorists arrested a couple of months ago lived only around the block from her has given her a reality check.

I was at a social event where someone kept saying that 9/11 happened because we invaded Iraq. When some others shook their head in agreement I had to remind them of the sequence of events. A long silence followed.Priceless.

Exactly ... just look at the source. It's funny how these types of articles from our leftist MSM bring out the anti-Canadianism from south of the border. It seems that suddenly we're all the same up here. The CBC DOES NOT represent the Canadian perspective ... as they claim to do.
