Is that the same type of intrument used to view an eclipse?
"And the days are pregnant and giving birth to new events,"
Hospitals?
Children - schools?
More solar flares and sunspots I think, but it ties into the "eclipse" theme (with the moon as well).
The Surah that has the most direct references to "pregnancy" is the 22nd Surah of the Koran - - the Hajj ("Pilgrimage"). The 22nd is the day before Ramadan begins and the end of the 15-day timetable set by al-Masri (al-Muhajir) on the 7th. Ramadan begins with the "birth" of the new moon. And this 22nd Surah in the Koran deals with the "Hour of Doom".
"Men, have fear of your Lord. The catastrophe of the Hour of Doom shall be terrible indeed. when that day comes, every suckling mother shall forsake her infant, every pregnant female shall cast her burden, and you shall see mankind reeling like drunkards although not drunk: such shall be the horror of God's chastisement. Yet there are some who in their ignorance dispute about God and follow every rebellious devil, though these are doomed to seduce their followers and lead them to the scourge of the Fire. Men, if you doubt the Resurrection remember that We first created you from dust, then from a living germ, then from a clot of blood, then from a lump of flesh, so that We might manifest to you Our power. We cause to remain the womb whatever We please for an appointed term, and then We bring you forth as infants, that you may grow up and reach your prime. Some die young, and some live on to abject old age when all that they once knew they know no more. You sometimes see the earth dry and barren: but no sooner do we send the water down upon it than it begins to stir and swell, putting forth every kind of radiant bloom. That is because God is Truth: He resurrects the dead and has power over all things. The Hour of Doom is sure to come - in this there is no doubt. Those who are in the grave God will raise to life. Some wrangle about God, though they have neither knowledge nor guidance nor divine revelation. They turn away in scorn and lead others astray from God's path. Such men shall incur disgrace in this life, and on the Day of Resurrection taste the torment of the Fire."
Surah 22:1-9
This last verse is the ninth verse of the 22nd Surah (9/22):
"They turn away in scorn and lead others astray from God's path. Such men shall incur disgrace in this life, and on the Day of Resurrection taste the torment of the Fire."

" . . . Fiqh Council of North America has adopted a pre-calculated calendar, and according to that the first day of (fasting in) Ramadan is Sep 23. This dates is based on the criterion adopted, that the moon is born before 12:00 Noon GMT, which also means that such a moon will be old enough to be visible (weather permitting) somewhere on the globe before the end of the night in North America. This moon will become over 18 hours old near the International Date Line (IDL) in the Pacific Ocean at its local sunset time, and is sightable by telescope, if not by the naked eye.
Sighting Possibilities for Ramadan 1427
The Astronomical New Moon is on Friday September 22, 2006 at 11:45 Universal Time (i.e., 7:45 EDT, and 4:45 PDT ). Looking at the visibilty curve one can understand that the moon is impossible to be seen in any continent, although it is possible to be seen at the International Dateline by telescope on September 22. On the same day at west coast of North America, the moon will be about 14 hours old, and about 1 degree above the horizon at sunset time, and will not be visible in North America. On September 23, 2006, the moon will start to become visible, by telescope from New Zealand and Australia, and by naked eye from Southern Africa, South & Central America. If atmospheric conditions are perfect, it can be seen in North America also on Sep. 23. "

FBI arrests father and son shortly after the younger man returns from overseas, where he allegedly trained at an Al Qaeda camp.
Lodi, CA FBI agents have arrested a man and his father after the son allegedly admitted attending Al Qaeda training camps in Pakistan that taught participants "how to kill Americans," federal authorities said Tuesday.
In a case that was still unfolding, officials confirmed that Hamid Hayat, 23, and his father, Umer, 47, were taken into custody Sunday. Authorities said late Tuesday that they were still trying to determine whether the arrests represented the discovery of a small network of Al Qaeda sympathizers operating in the agricultural town of Lodi, 40 miles south of Sacramento.
The arrests came days after the younger man was discovered aboard a San Francisco-bound plane even though his name appeared on a "No Fly" list of suspected extremists.
At the time, according to an FBI affidavit, Hayat was returning to the U.S. after having visited Pakistan.
According to the affidavit, he told agents that after attending Al Qaeda training camps in Pakistan in 2003 and 2004, he was given his pick of where to carry out his terrorist mission.
"Hamid advised that he specifically requested to come to the United States to carry out his jihadi mission," the affidavit says. "Potential targets for attack would include hospitals and large food stores."
