Vey hard to believe this coming from the Post. It is possible that the Post, always slightly less leftwing than the NY Times, sees the danger for the democrats in its march towards the moonbatosphere.

Mr. Libby and Mr. Cheney reacted by inquiring about Ms. Plame's role in recommending Mr. Wilson for a CIA-sponsored trip to Niger, where he investigated reports that Iraq had sought to purchase uranium. Mr. Libby then allegedly disclosed Ms. Plame's identity to journalists and lied to a grand jury when he said he had learned of her identity from one of those reporters. Mr. Libby and his boss, Mr. Cheney, were trying to discredit Mr. Wilson; if Mr. Fitzgerald's account is correct, they were careless about handling information that was classified.

This is balanced? This is total bullhockey!!

I think the Post was in a unique postion relative to the rest of the MSM on the "Plame Affair" in that Bob Woodward said early-on that this was no big deal. Woodward had this story nailed back then. Where was the Post to go with it when their chief investigative reporter rips the rug out from under them?

WE'RE RELUCTANT to return to the subject of former CIA employee Valerie Plame because of our oft-stated belief that far too much attention and debate in Washington has been devoted to her story and that of her husband, former ambassador Joseph C. Wilson IV, over the past three years. there was never a story to begin with, but we pinned our hopes on something/anything to impeach Bush.

There, fixed it.

I'll go out on a limb and predict that Valerie will file for divorce from her embarrassment of a husband within two years.

I nearly snorted coffee out of my nose when I read this this morning. All I could think of was Roseanne Roseannadanna saying, "Umm, nevermind." The final paragraph was priceless.

Wow, the Post is "reluctant" to return to the subject of Plame because they think too much attention has been diverted towards her? While I agree, the Posts website has referenced Plame in over 3,000 articles over the past 3 years, so I guess this "one" article will make up for that.

The MSM, the Lefties, Joe Wilson & Valerie Plame owe GWB, Karl Rove, Scooter Libby, Dick Cheney, the GOP, Americans & America an APOLOGY!

But there won't be one!

And Fitzgerald owes American taxpayers HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS for "investigating" a hoax that any beat cop in America could have determined in a day.

Valerie Plame WAS NOT A COVERT CIA AGENT at the time of the "outing!"

"Ms. Plame's identity was classified information"

The Wash Compost still has it WRONG!

Plame at the time of the "outing" was a CIA desk jockey,
nothing more!

Ya can't go around with a husband bragging that you work at CIA, in a car with a CIA parking decal on the windshield of your car, wearing a CIA ID on your chest and expect people to think you are "OO7!" LMAO

balanced? after 3 years of trashing Bush/Cheney/Rove/Libby? They should be groveling. Balance should have been in 2003.
