And this time Buchanan goes all the way.

Buchanan slams the president: “Concerned about his legacy, George W. Bush may yet live to see his name entered into the history of his country as the president who lost the American Southwest that James K. Polk won for the United States."

I don't think many people know that side of Buchanan. The Holocaust denier guy. At least MSNBC pretends not to notice as he is a commentator for them. But then I suppose they balance him out with the LLL Jew hater, Keith Olbermann. I know some would argue that Olbermann isn't anti-semitic but I find his Nazi salute comes out far too often which shows a glibness about the Holocaust and those who still survive.
Or Olbermann is a complete idiot. After all he spends more time being snide about Bush when he could be pointing out how Iran and Hez'bollah want Israel wiped off the map. If that isn't Jew hating I don't know what is.

Read FIVE POINTS and GANGS OF NEW YORK, for starters.
Look up the KNOW NOTHINGS and read up on them. Pat is saying the same things that the "Nativist", the Know Nothings, and the KKK said 140+ years ago; except, back then, they were railing against the Irish. Then read up on Father Coughlin. Pat's his parrot and that's 60-70 years ago OLD cant.

This is something very different. The illegals are part of an effort to merge mexico/usa/canada into a north american superstate.
This is an incredibly bad deal for the american middle class that gets unlimited liabilities in return for nothing.

I agree with you. Buchanan is very well educated (BA from Georgetown Univ. and MS from Columbia Univ.) and a real intellectual. I don't think he is right on all issues, but he usually offers strong arguments for his positions.
Buchanan is spot on in his assessment of the threat that illegal immigration poses to the USA and his arguments against illegal immigration are difficult to assail IMO.
We are in trouble. Soaring debt, both personal and governmental. Our national treasure has been squandered on the warfare/welfare state.
Although Pat is now a Jihad Firster, he's right on this one. This article reminds me of Pat during the Reagan days, when he would concentrate on Pro life issues, defending America, and securing our borders. Now he's changed and spends most of his time defending Jihadists.
