In 1979, Anna Diggs Taylor became the first black woman judge to be appointed to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Oh no! It figures. A relic of the Jimmy Carter years. Lemme guess. This woman carried an SDS card while in college.

Wasn't it a wiretap which (helped) thwart the plot to blow up planes recently? Yes. A walk in alerted authorities that someone was up and LE in England started investigating and had the people under watch, but it's our surveillance program that alerted authorities to some very specific information.

Preparing myself for the onslaught of rats heading to the microphones......damnThe 'Rats representing idiots, maybe. This is a monumentally stupid position for any politician who needs votes from non-moonbats. Kerry however is fully qualified to take that position.

The Caliphate of Detroit? I thought only the 1st District had jurisdiction in cases like this? Obviously it will be appealed and stayed for national security reasons while under appeal.

I think President Bush should just ignore any judges ruling and let the chips fall where they may. If judges start putting the government lawyers in jail for contempt then Bush should have his prepared Presidential Pardons ready.

I don't think he should just ignore them, that is a very dangerous precedent to set. I think he should work the system, and that means filing an appeal and a request for an injunction of some sort for national security reasons....

Oh, people will get it...but there will be others who will participate in hand-wringing, wondering what we've done to bring this upon ourselves, and blame Bush. Which means they still won't get it.

IS THIS THE SAME JUDGE WHO RULED THAT SIKHS COULD CARRY THEIR LARGE CEREMONIAL SWORDS, SCIMITARS AROUND TOWN?
