Turkey and the Iraqi Kurds are having more and more run-ins with each other. Holbrooke(i think) is contemplating putting our soldiers up to the border with them to try and keep the peace. Turkey wants Kirkuk oil fields.

If Syria attacks Israel, then Iran will attack Iraq, and us, to try to keep us from joining the battle. Jordan will have to make a decision, and I doubt it will be to our liking. I also doubt that Egypt will be able to stay out of it.

Nonsense. An all out war is necessary and inevitable. The sooner the better when you consider all the facts on the ground. Syria and Iran are not prepared for this all out war now. Thanks to their inability to read the cards Israel's response was a surprise to them. We need to fight them now. I just pray that they make one offensive move so that there will be reason for a response the world has never imagined.

Well put. I'm really getting bored with all this sniping at Rice, as if she were in charge of IDF/IAF. She cleverly and skillfully won Israel a 30 day window that almost nobody thought they would have when this started. That opportunity was being squandered by Israel.

Some folks seem to think that the job of the US Secretary of State is to be a cheerleader for military action.

Wow......who's your source on all of this...Mansoor Ijaz?

Let's just say for the sake of arguement, you're correct. If Iran launches any long range missiles at Israel from their territory, whether it's a nuke, or not.....Hell will be unleashed on Iran.

Also would Turkey get involved?? Yes, this could be a prelude to rid western influence in the area.

Nonsense again. Then why is Turkey trying so hard to get into the EU? Turkey is not a militant Islamic state. A war with Iran and Syria is needed and one in which worldwide Muslim support may be lacking considering that it is only these two states who are stirring the pot so much to the detriment of the rest. I think you'd find that an all out war would incite the street and the rhetoric would be viscious but the support Iran and Syria would need would not be there when the chips are down.

Is there anywhere i can go to sign up for military duty at age 56? I can keep the powder dry and load and stuff.

And I, voted cook of the year in Korea, make the best sh**on a shingle over toast.

I don't think Syria would risk doing that by air, seeing as how superior the IAF is. ;)

I believe that will violate the cease-fire agreement? If they violate the cease-fire by God the U.N. will be so upset that they'll pass a another resolution demanding immediate consideration of all parties to honor the agreement and a meeting of the security council will be considered to consider a consideration of action.

Turkey is Israel's only muslim allie. If Israel is attacked in a major way, Turkey joins in if only to rid the area of the troublesome Syrians and Kurds.

I saw an interview yesterday on FNC, a woman who is communicating with an iranian resistance leader told her that the iranians are building fallout shelters and he thinks they are going to launch an attack on Israel. One of the guest speakers said if they do that Israel will turn Iran into a smoking cinder. I wish I could find a transcript of the interview but I have not been able to so far

If they have one and launch it, they know that Israel will be stopped from retailiating because of the oil.

If Iran directly attacked Israel one thing is for sure. Israel wouldn't be stopped in defending her existence. It wouldn't even surprise me that Israel's #1 target might be Iran's oil infrastructure itself. Wipe out Iran's income and what's left? Iran's oil is not a U.S. concern or an Israeli concern. The world wide price would go up but our actual supply would not be substantially affected. Iran, being the agressor, would prove to the world what she really is, a danger to civilized societies everywhere.

It ain't WWIII till the French surrender.

They already have by calling Iran a stability in the region. In doing so France has already picked sides and it ain't the side of the good guys.

Bingo!

I was just going to post this.....

"Behold, Damascus is about to be removed from being a city. It will become a fallen ruin. Isaiah 17:1

God always tells the truth.

Looking forward to seeing this and hearing the sound of trumpets soon thereafter!!!
