Can a good Muslim be a good American?
A friend who knows | 8/11/2006 | Agent Smith

Posted on 08/11/2006 6:36:37 AM PDT by Agent Smith

I ask my fellow freepers indulgence for this vanity, because I believe it is too important to be buried in the back of the forum.

Can a good Muslim be a good American? I sent that question to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years.

The following is his reply:

Theologically - no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of Arabia.

Religiously - no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)

Scripturally - no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran (Koran).

Geographically - no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.

Socially - no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically - no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and Destruction of America, the great Satan.

Domestically - no. Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).

Intellectually - no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically - no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually - no. Because when we declare "one nation under God," the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent names.

Therefore after much study and deliberation...perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both "good" Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish...it's still the truth. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future. The war is bigger than most Americans know or understand.

"So what about Muslims in Indonesia, India, China, and so forth? Do you feel that we should deny Muslim immigrants from those nations the American way of life?"

Yup. Sure do. Just too dangerous to allow them in here. Ban them completely. Offer the ones here the cost of transportation back to the Middle East and they can saw each other's heads off whenever the mood strikes them. That's what they do anyway. Hang little girls because their uncles rape them and "dishonor" the family, etc.

Who needs that crap here?

"Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are all mentioned in The Qur'an. The story of how Abraham's father rejects his son's pleas to convert is repeatedly mentioned. I know because I'm about two-thirds of the way through Abdullah Yusuf Ali's translation.

It is well known that Muslims deny the divinity of Jesus. They respect him as the second to last prophet, but they believe that God neither begets nor is begotten. All the works you cited simply demonstrate a very well known tenet of Islam.

I'm having problems understanding your second-to-last paragraph.

Also, I have repeatedly mentioned that I am not a Muslim. For good measure, I'll write it once more: I am not a Muslim. Having that said, I see nothing wrong with that quote, if accurate. That fits in pretty well with the peaceful aspect of Islam.

It really doesn't make sense that you say Jews and Christians worship the same God but Muslims do not. If your sole criteria for equivalency is the historical beliefs of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, then there is no problem. Muslims view Abraham as a prophet, and stories about him are repeated many times in The Qur'an.

To reiterate, one of the key differences is the status of Jesus. All three believe he existed, but Christians are the only group to believe in Jesus as the son of God."

Just for the record, I am not religious. I think all of it is a load of bulloney for weak minds. My beef with Islam is that I am sick and tired of all of the violence. I would say the same thing if any other religion was doing what Muslims have been doing. I'd kick them out as well. The first duty of a government is to provide for the national security. And if a group is committed to killing anyone else who doesn't subscribe to their beliefs, then it is time to get rid of them. That's why I advocate that Muslims be expelled and prevented from entering the United States henceforth.

LOL! Try saying that to a Turk. You'd get punched in the nose, and rightfully so.

Islam seeks to conquer the world as surely as the Nazis or Communists. Denial of this fact is suicidal. The Fourth World War is underway, whether we like it or not.

What's your solution, then?

Sadly, there is no such thing as a "good muslim" that can live with anyone else not a muslim.

Yeah, they're always dancing around. Floating from place to place like a butterfly, stinging like a bee...

Pay for a one way ticket back to the Middle East. It would be money well spent.

The only Muslim friend I have was born in Houston. His parents immigrated from Pakistan in the 60's and established a successful dry cleaning franchise. He's never been to the Middle East and has a southern accent.

He's just as much of an American as you and probably better looking.

I think it is time for all of the respectable decent Americans who have always shown respect and tolerance to come against political correctness and start speaking the truth.
When we allowed political correctness to affect our speech I think we all knew deep down it would eventually hamper our speech so that TRUTH would not allowed to be shown in discussion.

It is time to become RUDE and speak the truth clearly. I am prepared to say that ALL Muslims are our enemy because if they take over, which is their plan, ALL Muslims will turn on you and I the infidels. Not one of them will stand up to their "brothers" because they know they will be beheaded. Let's take America back.

Most of them have never been to the Middle East. They are born in the USA.

"Most of them have never been to the Middle East. They are born in the USA."

Yup. Just like those British Muslims who wanted to slaughter thousands of "infidels." Why wait around? The nuclear cloud? Give them what they want. They can go back to their homelands and do what Muslims like to do to one another. We just won't be there. Isn't this what bin Laden wants anyway? He wants us out of there. Fine. Let's get out of there and the Muslims can get out of here. See, it's a "win-win" situation.

Probably is, but if he is a Muslim he can't be trusted. All of these "fine young men" just keep murdering us "infidels."

It has been proven over and over again. All the terrorism in the world is being committed by Muslims. He'd probably be a lot happier among his own kind anyway. We're just doing him a favor. Free ticket and all.

His own kind? You've got some nerve.

Thanks God talkers like you are confined to their parents basement rather than being in power like Germany circa 1939.

You can be as RUDE as you want, and then expose yourself for the jackass that you are.

Thanks God the Constitution stands in your way.

Shakir was a dedicated Islamist. “Islam presents an absolutist political agenda, or one which doesn’t lend itself to compromise, nor to coalition building,” he said before his transformation. “Muslims cannot accept the legitimacy of the secular system in the United States, for it ‘is against the orders and ordainments of Allah…the orientation of the Qur’an pushes us in the exact opposite direction as the forces that are at work in the American political spectrum.’”

“Every Muslim who is honest would say, I would like to see America become a Muslim country,” said Shakir. This is a complicated statement and merits an exegesis. If honest Muslims say they want Sharia Law as Shakir claims, what do dishonest Muslims want? If they say they don’t want Sharia Law and they are being dishonest does that mean they are practicing taqiyya and want Sharia Law? Of course, all Muslims want Sharia Law or they wouldn’t be Muslims. Shakir said he dreams of the day when Islamic law will be the rule in America.

Hamza Yusuf
Shortly before 9/11, he said. “This country (America) unfortunately has a great, a great tribulation coming to it. And much of it is already here, yet people are too illiterate to read the writing on the wall.”

Yusuf is described in the New York Times as a moderate Muslim. Shakir is considered one of the most respected and influential Muslim scholars in the West. Both have served as advisors on Islamic affairs to President George W. Bush.

A little ethnic cleansing, eh? Gimme a break. Besides being a pipedream that could never be implemented, your suggestion goes against everything this country stands for.

Well, y'all get happy with the notion of being beaten by Islam.

Because with people like you -- Politically Correct Gentle Handlers who haven't one-onemillionth the stones of the WWII generation -- it's inevitable.

Out.
