Can a good Muslim be a good American?
A friend who knows | 8/11/2006 | Agent Smith

Posted on 08/11/2006 6:36:37 AM PDT by Agent Smith

I ask my fellow freepers indulgence for this vanity, because I believe it is too important to be buried in the back of the forum.

Can a good Muslim be a good American? I sent that question to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years.

The following is his reply:

Theologically - no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of Arabia.

Religiously - no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)

Scripturally - no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran (Koran).

Geographically - no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.

Socially - no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically - no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and Destruction of America, the great Satan.

Domestically - no. Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).

Intellectually - no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically - no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually - no. Because when we declare "one nation under God," the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent names.

Therefore after much study and deliberation...perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both "good" Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish...it's still the truth. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future. The war is bigger than most Americans know or understand.

That is the confusion so many have. Is islam a religion or is it a form of government. If you ask a muslim they will tell you it is both and one day it will be the way the US operates.

Franklin also knew the requirements of war. Civil liberties were routinely denied Tories during the conflict.

what is absurd are your remarks

I hate repeating myself, another poster has been making excuses for Islam and his muslim friends all morning

I simply asked him/her to notify me when his muslim friends thought that a Christian church and/or a Jewish synagogue would be built in Baghdad.

now you can go off all you want but my question remains the same and if you don't care then that's your problem. I DO CARE! Christians & Jews have fought and died for Iraqi Muslims' freedom. And for them to refuse others the right to worship their religion in Iraq is unconscionable!

good day

Very depressing, that when faced with our own destruction, maybe are very willing to go down with the ship simply because we can't ban and deal with islam.

Face it guys, it's going to be a choice. Either we deal with it, or we all die. You may think it's cute to rah rah constitution stuff, but are you willing to risk your lives on not taking out islam?

Are you willing to risk all non-islamic Americans? Apparently some of you sickos are.

You sign up today, and your first post is a bigoted rant against Islam?

Some of us believe that this "rah rah constitution stuff" is what makes America what it is.

That you don't tells me YOU'RE the sicko, sicko.

Are you the same type who thinks Christians are being persecuted in America? Bet you are. You'll appreciate those quaint constitutional protections when they come for you next.

Is islam a religion or is it a form of government.

In fact, it is both. National Socialism and International Communism also combined religion and government into a unified ideology.

You are asserting that someone who simply holds American citizenship is guaranteed to be civilized.

I never said that, and don't believe that.

Take you, for instance...............

That has nothing to do with the mass deportation of millions of natural-born American citizens just because they don't share your religion.

I say again: If Hitler had called Nazism a 'religion', he could have won. It's a cult and a gang, not a religion.

A police state is a safer state. Franklin called it at the beginning - be careful what trades you're willing to make for that security.

I used to be firmly in your camp.

But the threat to our very SURVIVAL is now too high.

I also wouldn't have a problem with the temporary suspension of various rights in WWII.

I'm sorry, Ben. Maybe we can't keep it.

Who you kiddin', Sparky? We ain't had one of those for about 50 years.

It saddens me that respect for the Constitution is denigrated as "making nice."

It saddens me even more when religious cults bomb our citizens and plot to destroy our country.

I'm sorry, you just don't get my point.

The fact that Christians in Baghdad are not full citizens doesn't mean that Christians in the United States can or should strip citizenship from Muslims here.

We should endeavor to continue making Baghdad more free, not making the United States less free.

I think it's clear whose side you are on. And before you say 'oh, I'm on America's side!!!', save it. Your kind is willing to sacrifice himself, his family, and the rest of the USA to islam. No thanks.

Listen, pal. If you have something to contribute to the thread, please do so.

So far, you've done nothing but sling around ad hominems and make ridiculous, hyperbolic statements that have no basis in reality.

And you don't know me, given you've been on this forum for all of ten minutes.

"If you think that Baghdad is the shining beacon of freedom, then you shouldn't have brought them up as an example of an oppressive society (in post #350).

You can't have it both ways."

you obviously didn't get the sarcasm of my post#350

I do not expect the Iraqis to allow a Christian church or Jewish synagogue to be built in Baghdad...ever!

You seem to believe that Allah is a God. As God is an English word, it does not exist in all languages. In Arabic, the word for God is Allah. To give another example, in Chinese, the word for God is Shangdi, written with two characters.

By your logic, Jews and Christians believe in different Gods. Do you feel that way?

Jews, Christians, and Muslims believe in the same one God. Christians believe that Jesus was the son of God, and Jews and Muslims deny this. However, they have no disagreements that one God exists.

If you really had a newborn, you wouldn't have this attitude. How can anyone with a child want to allow islam in this country when it equates the early, violent death of their children?

I do have a newborn. He's just over six months old now, he had his "birthday" last week.

I want my son and his sons and their sons to grow up in a free America. I won't sacrifice their freedom just so I can have a little temporary security - how selfish is that?

You're almost as bad as jihadist islam yourself.

Ah, personal insults. The surest sign that you don't actually have a leg to stand on. Thank you for that.

There are Christian churches all over Iraq. Chaldean Catholics are the largest Christian minority in the country.
