Can a good Muslim be a good American?
A friend who knows | 8/11/2006 | Agent Smith

Posted on 08/11/2006 6:36:37 AM PDT by Agent Smith

I ask my fellow freepers indulgence for this vanity, because I believe it is too important to be buried in the back of the forum.

Can a good Muslim be a good American? I sent that question to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years.

The following is his reply:

Theologically - no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of Arabia.

Religiously - no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)

Scripturally - no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran (Koran).

Geographically - no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.

Socially - no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically - no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and Destruction of America, the great Satan.

Domestically - no. Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).

Intellectually - no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically - no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually - no. Because when we declare "one nation under God," the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent names.

Therefore after much study and deliberation...perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both "good" Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish...it's still the truth. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future. The war is bigger than most Americans know or understand.

. . . and if every militant fundamentalist islamofascist terrorist disappeared from the face of the earth at the same moment, their replacement would ooze from the hive -- moderate Islam -- before the week was over.

The lack of economic opportunity serves as a breeding ground for jihadists

Have you ever seen the pictures of the young Osama Bin Laden in London with his family? He looks like an Arabian version of Greg Brady, complete with flaired bell bottom trousers. His super-affluent status didn't keep him from imbibing at the trough of one of the most virulently "bad ideas" in the last two millenia--Islam. Poverty is the result of bad ideas and bad religion. Islam provides both in one package.

North America after Christianity: peace, industry, prosperity, freedom. It took some time to get there from the landing of the Mayflower in 1620. In the interim, there were wars, slavery, segregation, death, and destruction.

If given the choice, would you pick New England in the years 1621-1900 as a place to live, or Yemen during the same years?

Nonsense. Jihad is no more an obligation for Muslims than forcibly converting pagans is an obligation for Christians.

If you don't trust the Catholic Encyclopedia, you can ask the imam (further below):

In matters political Islam is a system of despotism at home and aggression abroad. The Prophet commanded absolute submission to the imâm. In no case was the sword to be raised against him. The rights of non-Moslem subjects are of the vaguest and most limited kind, and a religious war is a sacred duty whenever there is a chance of success against the "Infidel". Medieval and modern Mohammedan, especially Turkish, persecutions of both Jews and Christians are perhaps the best illustration of this fanatical religious and political spirit.

Mohammed and Mohammedanism
Catholic Encyclopedia

From "Ask the Imam":

Q: I have a question about offensive Jihad. Does it mean that we are to attack even those non-Muslims which don't do anything against Islam just because we have to propagate Islam?

A: You should understand that we as Muslims firmly believe that the person who doesn't believe in Allah as he is required to, is a disbeliever who would be doomed to Hell eternally. Thus one of the primary responsibilities of the Muslim ruler is to spread Islam throughout the world, thus saving people from eternal damnation.

Thus what is meant by the passage in Tafsir Uthmani, is that if a country doesn't allow the propagation of Islam to its inhabitants in a suitable manner or creates hindrances to this, then the Muslim ruler would be justifying in waging Jihad against this country, so that the message of Islam can reach its inhabitants, thus saving them from the Fire of Jahannum. If the Kuffaar allow us to spread Islam peacefully, then we would not wage Jihad against them.

and Allah Ta'ala Knows Best

That claim, based on your knowledge of only a few, is, by any reasonable definition, a generalization.

Polls show thumping majorities in the Muslim world support global jihad, terrorism, the subjugation of non-Muslims, and the extermination of Jews. All this talk of the "religion of Peace" is crap. If kabar knows gentle and peaceful Muslims in the West, as I do, he should realize that they are often here precisely because the general attitude and world view of the Muslim Ummah frightens and disgusts them.

My ultimate foal for all Muslims is to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

And that is the only thing that "keeps (you) from wanting to put all Muslim's in the gas chambers and ovens."

Funny, I would think the fact that they are innocent human beings who have committed no crime except have a different religion would be enough to keep you from wanting genocide. But maybe that's just me.

True but did Christ call its name

Christianity?

What did Jesus call "his" religion?

What rubbish. The Third Reich had a superabundance of laws, and I am calling for many fewer. You have missed the point entirely.

And ignored and overrode most of them.

I place keeping angry Muslim foreigners out of our country in the latter category.

How do we determine if they are angry?

Deporting non-citizen troublemakers, Muslim or not, is a legitimate function of a sovereign government and needs no further laws to implement.

That is being done within the law. Your definition of troublemaker must conform with the law in order to deport them.

mariabush obviously realizes that she was too honest about her true feelings, and is now backpedaling.

Those of us that quote her earlier comments verbatim are now "liars."

Very revealing.

The people I'm talking about I've known for a long time, they go to ball games, tell Arab jokes, etc. Their parents were either born here or lived here most of their lives. The women in their families don't wear head scarfs, etc.

====================================================

You just described those two "all American" types who were arrested in Ohio three days ago.

If you don't trust the Catholic Encyclopedia, you can ask the imam (further below):

Yes. I'm sure there are sources which will tell you jihad is an obligation for Muslims.

Just as there are Catholic sources which will tell you that no person who is not a Catholic can be saved.

I have friends who converted because they met a nice Muslim man and decided to convert. Theymade that decided of their own free will. I think they deserve to be allowed to live as they see fit.

I also have a friend from Indian (a sihk) who converted to Catholicism (He's also a 34th degree mason)

Nice try at deflection.

Once again: if the government of the United States (or of West Buggeristan) is First for you; if it is the ultimate authority, the incontrovertible infallible authority on right and wrong, that which receives unflinching, unwavering unquestioned allegiance; then it is your god.

If, on the other hand, you are able to apply some external standard to the government of the US (or WB), and pass judgement on it as to whether it is behaving justly or not, then that external standard (or its author) is or could be your god.

If you want to worship the State as a god, knock yourself out. The Romans and the Japanese, for example, did likewise. If you want me to join with you in such worship, fuhgeddaboudit. Not even a pinch of incense for Caesar.

"They would have to make their own way?"

who would have to "make their own way?"
and their own way to where?
If you're talking about the Muslims
deport 'em and be done with the situation!
of course, we'll have to wait until 2008 when we can elect a POTUS who will secure the airports, seaports and borders.

but it's gonna have to happen...sooner or later...
but if we procrastinate until Iran has a Nuke then it just might be too late!

It's PAST time to remove the disease that is Islam from the human race.

Disease...tumor...whatever.

Islam is not a disease. Islam HAS a disease. You do not kill the patient...you kill the disease.

Unfortunately cancer needs radiation to kill it. Governments run by religious extremists must die. Unfortunately that means a lot of non-militant people will die with them...since elections have consequences.

It seems with the advent of precision weapons, it suddenly becomes inhumane to destroy entire cities to bring about surrender and peace.

I'm afraid it will take the loss of an American city or two before we get down to business of acting like a global superpower again and ensuring another 60 years of peace and prosperity.
