On a "winged horse"? That's horse hockey!
August 22nd is the end? Too bad it comes on a weekday.

Well, I'd better hurry and make an appointment to get my hair done. I certainly wouldn't want the world to end with my hair not looking it's best.

Won't happen according to the Bible.
When peace is declared in Israel then we will have a certain amount of time.
Read the Book of Revelation.

Can we move this up to the Sunday after the 22nd... The 22nd is just not good for me.

I worked with a guy that was into bible prophecy. A few years back he decided that on Sept 22 the world was coming to and end. He had just gotten back from his honeymoon where he had sex for the first time.
I figured he got his first piece of @ss and decided the world was coming to an end.

Have you double sourced this with the 7th Day Adventists? They have always been way out in front with the end times predictions.

It's really not a matter of if it's true or not, but whether or not the flake in charge of Iran thinks it is. It would be very unwise for us to pass out of hand. Remember these Islamists think in terms that are entirely alien to the rest of the world.
Wiping out a few million of themselves just to take out Israel or us is something they wouldn't hesitate to do.

This sort of quasi-religious scaremongering always finds a receptive audience in the United States, especially among Christians of the jihadist persuasion. At 90 years old, Professor Lewis may have completely lost his marbles, but he is still feted by the White House (vice-president Dick Cheney was guest of honour at his birthday party in April), and the Wall Street Journal describes him as "a sage". He is credited with coining the phrase "clash of civilisations" back in 1990 and now seems intent on making it a reality. That was Samuel Huntington, not Bernard Lewis. And I believe Professor Lewis's marbles are quite intact, which is more than I can say for the author.
