An Israeli soldier grieves for Sgt. Yonatan Sharabi, 19, killed in action in southern Lebanon, during his funeral at the Petah Tikvah cemetery in central Israel. Israeli warplanes pounded areas north and south of Lebanon, killing at least 38 people, as Israel's largest city Tel Aviv braced for a rain of retaliatory Hezbollah rocket fire.

He is not so much clueless as he doesn't want the U.S. and Israel hitting his cash cows.
as in "Oil for Food"
Thank you, I appreciate all your hard work.
I think I mixed up a couple of captions. In the third photo down, the Israeli soldiers are at the funeral of another soldier. . .
The bottom one, missing a caption, I think are IAF paratroopers... not sure.

This is the only story I can find about Egypt at this point, I still can't find the story concerning the Egyptian court from earlier today, doggone it!

So if an Israeli missile kills him and a bunch of Lebanese, we'll know they're hizbollah 'fighters' and not citizens.
They keep saying 'fighters' instead of 'terrorists'!?!
Pretty soon they'll be 'liberators' according to the MSM. Freakin' ah@l#s.
They'll be calling them "those whacky hooligans" before it's all said and done.
Here's a link to Sky News on the Tyre story

hello
It's quiet in the "Forgotten War Zone" today.
So far.
I agree with you. Kofi Annan is far from clueless. He oversaw the remilitarization of southern Lebanon by Hezbollah. If he ever lands on Israeli soil, he should be arrested and tried for war crimes against the Israeli people. He's nothing but a war criminal and enemy collaborator.
I don't have a TV in my computer room, but I can get CNN International via Internet, with adequate live coverage after midnight. And CNN probably has more live coverage from Lebanon.
I just checked the TV in the living room, they're only showing reruns on Fox News, MSNBC and CNN.
GOOD MORNING ALLEGRA,,,hope you are "all"well,,,!!!
Glad you made it through Friday! Yes, it seems Afghanistan is also a poor cousin in the news these days as well. (sigh)
Okay, my watch is up... time for beddy bye here. Allegra- stay safe sweetie pie. And a post-Happy Birthday to you by the way! Sorry I missed it.
by the look in his eyes he needs a change of undies..
Is this where Syrian Kurdish farm workers were killed... must have been a mistake...?
00:18 Bush conducts 15 minute phone conversation with UN`s Annan (Reuters)

A couple of interesting headlines there.
Re 22:37 Hezbollah: We fired `Khaibar 1` missiles at Hadera, same type fired at Afula (Ch. 10):
'Some experts suspect the "Khaibar-1" Hezbollah announced is just a "marketing" name, invoking images of an historic battle, and not really a new missile. It's just a longer-range missile (probably a Fajr-5) Iran has sent them via Syria.' (per http://airbornecombatengineer.typepad.com/airborne_combat_engineer/2006/07/hez_well_see_yo.html)
Hope it stays quiet.
Are you over being sick?
Good morning and glad to hear it's quiet. Less than an hour ago a thread was posted and the article is written by an AP reporter named Tom Lasseter. He seem to be under the impression there's a civil war going on. Most on the thread don't seem to believe him though. :-)
Here's the link if you want to check it. Glad all's well.

I feel the exact sam way about CNN.
Thanks for that! I just read sandmonkey.org, an Egyptian blogger, and it was certainly interesting when I went to his many links re: the Irael/Leb war. I urge everyone to go take a look.
