The wife and father of kidnapped Israeli soldier Ehud Goldwasser, Karnit, holding a wedding photograph, and Shlomo Goldwasser arrive at Heathrow Airport in London, Monday July 31, 2006. Hezbollah kidnapped two Israeli soldiers on July 12, triggering an Israeli offensive against Lebanon that has killed hundreds of people, mostly civilians.
Flares held aloft by parachutes lighted the night sky to a daytime brilliance, the official said. Hezbollah's al-Manar television said Israeli helicopters were taking heavy guerrilla fire, but hadn't landed any commandos.
Israeli warplanes and helicopters started the operation on Baalbek and its surroundings at 10:20 p.m. local time. Lebanese sources said Israeli troops are on the ground and firing ten kilometers from Baalbek, Cable News Network reported.
Israeli helicopters also attacked a target 15 kilometers west of Baalbek, starting a huge fire, witnesses said. It wasn't immediately known if the target was controlled by Hezbollah or the Lebanese army.
Wow.
I can't tell you because then I would have to kill you.
;-))
Well, for obvious reasons they didn't write that in the papers (thank God).
Didn't that Mossad plan include attacking Syria?
Shoot I was hoping for a leak...:-)
That tracks my thinking, and appears to be what the AFP story a few posts back is describing.

ALARM - an Israeli héliportée unit encircled in the south of Baalbeck
BAALBECK (Lebanon) - a héliportée Israeli unit which landed in the night of Tuesday to Wednesday is encircled by the combatants of Hezbollah in the south of Baalbeck (center of Lebanon), according to a spokesman of Heebollah.
Please no prisoners. Thanks in advance.
I still hope its a rescue. I dont see any value in capturing Nasrallah. I only see value in him being in a body bag.
Oh no...the PR value of him in shackles and humilated would be priceless..
S-I-G-H! If only.
