OCC, are you familiar with the Ohio station that is 1000am?
I can only get that one in the winter, but it seemed to be a pretty good signal.

It's on 630AM (WMAL?) here in the DC-VA area, Sunday evenings from nine to ten. I listen to it while waiting for Drudge. It focuses on current events in the war and has a pretty good record of guests. Tonight for instance, Fred Barnes, some woman who wrote a book on Hezbollah, a Brit reporting from Israel. Give it a listen!

Mel went off on the Hebrews?

lol

This sounds like Radiohead. Isn't there a new album? Maybe a Yorke solo CD. I can't remember.

Any bets on Lindsey Lohan, Haley Joel Osmont, and...well that's about all I know about since they
were in the news recently?

Oh, the Malcom-in-the-Middle guy.

FWIW, I think Harvey Levin is a hack reporter (I remember him from local LA TV when I lived there) who is trying to make a name for his site TMZ (whatever that is). He got a copy of the police report? There's no audio recording? MG's blood alcohol was barely over legally drunk?

And most preposterous of all, how can anyone save a raving Islama-whacko scream out that Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world?

I will try it! Thanks for the info.
I have never been able to pick up WMAL in the past, but maybe I just wasnt trying hard enough.
Are you in northern Va? I am right beside the Blue Ridge Mountains, probably a source of a lot of my radio reception troubles.

I missed it... Some of the music he used last week or the week before sounded a bit like Keane, but I'm not sure...

Is WMAL broadcasting Drudge on the air? If so, the web stream is dead.

I have to give John Batchelor the award for THE coolest ending of any radio show.

For those who haven't heard it, he wraps up his show with a segement which begins with a love song that sounds like it's from the 20's. As that plays in the background, he reads some interesting update from the world of astronomy. He ends with-- "Here comes Kate", followed by Kate Smith singing God Bless America.

Q) What's the song you always play just before Kate Smith sings, "God Bless America," at the very end of each show?

A) Al Bowlly sings, "Midnight, the Stars and You" by Ray Noble and His Orchestra; recorded in London on February 16, 1934.

A biography of Al Bowlly (there exist several) http://www.jazzbymail.com/artists/noble.html
