I had seen it on a website that had it captioned as "Us vs. Them". The picture tells the whole story anyway...
I'm not so sure we're doing the restraining. Many people had reservations about just how serious Olmert was about this effort from the beginning. Certainly the kind of "warfare" they've been used to in the South didn't prepare them for this, and you have to wonder if the Israelis even considered that they were entering an "all or nothing" situation. You can just as easily postulate that Olmert's government fears high Israeli casualties more than they fear Hezbollah.
It's certainly been a tough slough with the entire MSM and the left in both Israel and US aiding and encouraging the enemy, but what seems to be a dogged determination not to commit more of their resources to driving Hezbollah out of the south does not look promising.
The same "restraint" that is producing such wonderful results in Iraq? If you refuse to name the enemy, and refuse to fight to win, you might as well pack up, go home, and wait to be slaughtered.
Thanks for the tip. But, when I've done that it takes longer than I usually have time for. Sometimes, I don't check in for a day or two and have to go through the entire thread for the latest news. The thread has a lot of chat room stuff to wade through. It be nice to have a thread with only the news and facts.
This would seem to be a declaration of war, which should justify a full scale response by Israel.
I just heard Greg Palcot report that he was told that 7 hours after the Israeli strike, the building fell.
Palcott reported that it was difficult ot get to the collapsed building because the crater of the aerial bombs did not hit the building directly.
Jennifer Griffin reported that the building, it appears came down by a fixed charge.
I'm glad he didn't. The "Live" threads are mostly chat and nearly impossible to glean any information from. It's much better when breaking news is posted in breaking news as it happens.
It's a war; there are lulls in the fighting. :-)
