Can you please visit Jerusalem Post (www.jpost.com) and have a look at the photo on there - do you recognize the man?

"This is feeling more and more like a "staged" event....."

I'm starting to get a big whiff of that myself. Typical muzzie tactic and the nancy boys of the world fall for it everytime.

Be strong, O Israel!

Thanks for the insightful analysis. I lurk diligently on this thread without commenting because I have neither the knowledge nor expertise to add anything valuable. But I very much appreciate the contributions all of you make to our understanding of these events. I regard the three of you as our most valuable analysts of the situation. (Not that I mean to leave out other Freepers whose names may have eluded me at the time of this post!)

"That's good news. The minute they do blink, will be horrific."

Any idea with Christian, Greek and Roman origin is under Islamic assault. All those who appreciate what is good in the Western world better start speaking up for it or we may find ourselves incapable of stopping the militant Islamic advance.

Oh, gosh. Greg was all over the poor little kids being doubled up on scarce stretchers going to the morgue and people digging with their bare hands in the dirt for loved ones all because of bad, bad Israel. Funny, we didn't see any of those poor dead children as he was doing his stint at the beach.

Beiruit is reporting that they disinvited (is that a word?) Rice.

This is now a PR war (surprise). I think it's time to stop this 24/7 coverage. The Nazi's could have won if this type of coverage existed during WWII.

We have to establish a buffer zones around Israel before we attack Iran. I think the U.S.A can not wait for Israel completely wipe out the Hezbollah. Our confrontation with Iran is coming up too fast. Today's fighting is just a little WW3 skirmish.

I agree with that. As well, no one from the press was on the scene reporting that allied bombs were hitting civilian targets in Germany or Japan.

If we had today's media they certainly would have. Goebbels would have been on CNN every night.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert briefed opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu on recent developments in the operations in Lebanon in an 80-minute meeting at the prime minister's official residence in Jerusalem on Friday. A spokesman for Netanyahu said that no political matters were discussed at the meeting but that Olmert thanked Netanyahu for his recent appearances defending Israel on American and European television networks. He said Olmert told Netanyahu that he was Israel's "best spokesman in the foreign press" - a compliment that could potentially cause a dispute between Olmert and his vice premier, Shimon Peres.
