Israeli combat soldiers walk along the Israeli northern border with Lebanon. US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is pursuing a new round of Middle East diplomacy as the Lebanon conflict moved into its 19th day, with Israel and Hezbollah exchanging firepower and threats in defiance of international moves toward a ceasefire
he = she
Haaretz is reporting it, but cites a US official. No confirmation from the Israeli government yet.
I think they'll try "Israel" first, then try to fall back on Bin Laden's "fatwah".
Speaking of dead terrorists, did you read of the US officer paying his respects to the graves of Uday and Qusay?
Robin Moore's "Hunting for Saddam", good read.
"I read on a blog earlier how the world needs to give Lebanon time to sort this all out themselves, that given enough time, they'd get rid of the terrorists for us. Riiiiight."
How many times have we heard similar statements: Iraq will overthrow Saddam, the young Iranians will overthrow the mullahs, and on and on....it doesn't happen.
It's a matter of killing enough of these barbarians to instill fear in those that remain. And right now, they don't fear us because they see in the media that we are too PC.
Is the US railroading the Israelis - I sure hope not.
I would like to know that as well..
Oh that's right- I remembered it earlier today- but forgot it again.
Not sure if I can do it...will see - thank you for the reminder!
So which IS it??
For days it has been the weak Olmert government in Israel and everyone was hollering for Bibi to take over. Now it's Bush railroading Israel. WHICH IS IT???
Is it just possible that we aren't as well informed as we assume? The contradictions in this kneejerk blame game are ridiculous.
Oops, I forgot CONDI! SHE'S really to blame. /sarcasm
It's so sad to think that those kids were seen as pr fodder in life. And now in death, they're being manhandled in front of cameras to become pr fodder in death, too. I'd love to hope that someone will rock them, cry and mourn them and wash them nicely to prepare them for burial. I wonder what kind of care their bodies will get, and from whom...
Those poor little souls. :-(
Pinz
Who were the rescue workers?? Red Cross??
Also...like I posted earlier...I have seen several posts on earlier threads with rumors that when the people in south Lebanon were fleeing north last week...there was evidence that some of the Hezzies wouldn't allow them to leave...
Now...if they couldn't leave..they go to an abandoned building...the bombs are flying all around...they go to the basement or lower floor...
An Israeli bomb lands relatively close...and either the shelter is weakened by the previous bombing and collapses...OR, Hezzies come in a while after the last Israel rocket...and bombs the building with only women and children in it...wait a while...then the DISCOVER the dastardly deed that the Israelis supposedly did...
This is the same place that 10 years ago...had a similar happening, that cause the Israelis to stop fighting...
Perfect scenario for worldwide condemnation of Israel and the USA>
I sure hope that the US has been quietly building up forces in the area. We either surrender to islam or we finish this holy war...soon.
If you watched that movie, Obsession, you will come away NOT believing that the youth of these countries will overthrow the leaders...because they have all been, and are being brainwashed 24 hours a day...
Very interesting.
Whoa..
We should ban rockets, tanks, mortars, etc. and give everyone swords. It would be a pleasure to wield a Wilkinson on that fat Hezbolla leader's chin.
Ummm....did you see the pics of the ones in the clear plastic bags??
I figure they will be thrown in the ground like that..
