Hezbollah terrorists fire a missile from the southern Lebanese city of Tyre.
Have you noticed that the dems seem to be trotting out a new bunch of young 'uns as spokespeople. Someone perhaps caught on that Jenny Baccus comes off as stupid as a stone. All of the new ones have been told to wear nice jackets and smile continuously, no matter what rotten thing you are saying. I guess they think this will make them look "not mean." They have also been instructed to talk over everyone else. This is not working for them.
I saw that too. That woman is AWFUL. She of course couldn't answer when it was pointed out to her that Dems need to do more than just criticize, how about offering solid solutions. Her fake smiles were nauseating too, in fact, she is a actually a perfect example of the Dem party, no wonder she is a strategist/spokeswoman for that sorry lot.
He comes across as weak to me and a couple of Lebanese people have told me he's pretty much a crook.
Love that pix.. the dog must be a "bit confused"?
If that were Mad Maddie going to Beirut, the BJ'ers would be gushing about how heroic and brave she was, wouldn't they?
As for why Condi and the Bush administration might be trying to prop up Siniora, as some have questioned (understandably), I think it might be because they think he's the best they're likely to have, so they're trying to strengthen his position. Whether that's right or not, I can't say.
We would like to salute the heroic combatants stationing at the frontline with price and self-esteem. They are the pride and glory of the nation. We salute them for their quaking actions at the battlefield.
Condi just met with the terrorist PM of Lebanon. She told him, "Thank you for your Courage and steadfastness." That is an interesting thing to tell someone who is supported by the Syrian government which serves as the base for every terrorist group except for Al Quieda. I'm sure she didn't demand from him to release the soldiers immediately, eventhough his cabinet members admitted that they know where they are located. I doubt that she asked him to step aside and let Israel annihilate Hizbollah and help the future of both governments, much less take him to task for actively helping Hizbollah with their radar systems. Then again, I didn't understand how the Saudi officials were given royal treatment and prominence to discuss what to do with a country that they seek to destroy. I guess I will never understand "diplomacy".

OT, but I thought the screengrabs were funny as sh*t...The wonderful life of a 'martyr'
Sometime in the last hour or so, someone on FOX said that Israel took the position that they would only sign a cease fire with Lebanon, not with Hizbullah since they (Israel) does not negotiate with terrorists.
Doesn't make any sense to sign a cease fire with a party who can't enforce it . . . or maybe that's the whole point
DOUBLE BARF ALERT!!!

Advocacy group to sue US over Lebanon evacuation
By ASSOCIATED PRESS
DETROIT
A leading Arab-American advocacy group said it planned to sue the US government, claiming it failed to protect American citizens from the fighting in Lebanon.
The lawsuit, which was to be filed Monday by the American-Arab Anti-discrimination Committee on behalf of about 30 American citizens, alleges that Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld did not take all possible steps to secure the safety and well being of US citizens when fighting erupted between Israel and Hizbullah guerillas.
It also seeks to have the federal court order the Bush administration to request a cease-fire and to stop shipments of weapons or any other military support to Israel during the evacuation of Americans from Lebanon.
"We just feel the US government has put its citizens at risk by supplying missiles when many US citizens are still there," said Nabih Ayad, lawyer for committee and the citizens who were all in Lebanon. Ayad said a few included in the lawsuit are still trying to leave the country.
So no need for a cease fire, right?
No, they can't back the President. The good news is that most Americans aren't listening to the RATS.
:^)
Miz....I agree with you to a point---I am sure Bush isn't "sure" about the Lebanese leadership, BUT, they worked hard to get that resolution 1559..and I am sure Bush feels it would be better to pursue that route than start over..
Especially because the Lebanese could elect someone worse..
I try not to let myself get too upset by what comes out of diplomats mouths..and that is what Condi is.
Any lawyer involved in filing this lawsuit should be disbarred.
I would be wicked cool if the IDF started placing the heads of the hebolleez on pikes, nail them to trees or skin them alive and place their hides on stones to cure in the Sun.
If anyone comes across a source that explains why we are supporting Seniora when he seems to be at the very least not a friend, please ping me. I just don't get it. Karzai and Mushy are worth supporting and praising, not this dope.
Gotta go. Will be back this afternoon.
Resolution 1559 is the central issue. The UN is for it, Israel if for it, the US is for it. The Lebonese government, military and Hezebola are not for it.
