A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos): 7.19.06
yahoo.com, whitehouse.gov ^ | Wednesday July 19, 2006 | GretchenM

Posted on 07/19/2006 3:22:36 PM PDT by GretchenM

Defying the will of Congress (remember these votes in November!), President Bush sent a veto message (read the president's message here), that he would not sign HR 810, the "Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act of 2005."

President Bush addressed the situation in Lebanon while meeting with members of Congress in the White House.

Secretary of State Rice met at the State Department today: New Zealand's Minister of Foreign Affairs Winston Peres, and Belgium's Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht. Next week she is scheduled to attend Southeast Asia's top security forum.

I will second that for English women and most especially teenagers.

I can't help thinking if unborn babies could show up at the ballot box, the Dems would be falling all over themselves to declare them "oppressed minorities."

We're so blessed to have a president who cares about all children.

Hi! you in town for awhile ohio? Molly is gone for two weddings & we will hopefully ..no, not hopefully.. FOR SURE.. do the Ohio/wv FReeper get together after Labor Day. --- summer w/vacations etc make things difficult to plan

I will make sure it is a wonderful event! (okay?) PTL for our great president! sure he isn't perfect & not going to please everyone's agenda, but I am always so proud after a day like today that he is standing for those who can't scream out their need of help.

Cream cheese and blackberries sounds lovely most English people would be horrified with that mixture but then would quite happily eat cheesecake with strawberry or blackcurrant etc topping. What we do not realise the combinations are we eat happily but when pointed out are sometimes put off. :0)

There is something very intense about that photo.

That there is ... and satisfied!!

Thanks, GEM ... what a wonderful President and glorious day. Thank God for he who values life .. and will NOT allow turning humans into a commodity .. federally.

Look at the pride and joy in his eyes ..he's done right with the Lord. YES!!

Hi snugs .... I think there's a toaster with my name on it. When you can, could I have this one ... I want to remember this historic day. THANK YOU!

That guy has issues ... wow. His screen name is apt :)

BTW, don't you think it's odd that a poster on a conservative forum would look to government to fix all of life's problems?

I should say both guys have issues. And both of them are looking to government instead of God.

She's gets way too chummy with her female Senate colleagues on many issues. I believe they have an organization. She can be very squishy.

Hi gang I started to go over and look at the stem cell thread, but what a bunch of whiners were there. Ran away. So I will say it here. WTG! President Bush!

Did you notice that I never got an an answer to my question to that one resistant poster: Were you NOT an embryo? In fact, several I wrote to just dropped their churlish arguments but didn't answer responses.

what a bunch of whiners were there.

And disturbed. They would rather that the president vetoed the highway bill instead of this. Insane.

WOW . . . the photo at #118 (and repeats) says it all!

I highly recommend that you read the article at the following FR thread:

HORNISH "AWESTRUCK" IN MEETING WITH PRESIDENT BUSH
SPEEDtv.com / RACER Magazine ^ | 7/18/2006 | Jeff Olson
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1668794/posts

Dick Morris finally writes something worth reading:
PRESIDENT BUSH MISUNDERESTIMATED
By Dick Morris and Eileen McGann

Once again someone has “misunderestimated” George Bush, and, this time, it’s us.

In last week’s column, we spoke harshly about what appeared to be Bush’s appeasement of the Putinocracy shaping up in Russia with its suppression of democracy at home and its energy imperialism abroad. But then the president turned around and blocked Russia’s membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO).

You can read the entire article at

That poor man can't win no matter what he does. Good thing he cares not for popularity and just does as he feels is right. I guess that is why we love him.
