Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday promised a "rejoicing" for Muslims in the Middle East "soon," the Islamic Republic News Agency reported.
Referring to escalating violence in Lebanon and northern Israel, he was quoted as saying, "The Zionists themselves have realized that they have launched a risky move and are aware that the flame of the fury of the regional states will set them ablaze."

I wonder if they would bother to test at all. It's not like plans for a uranium bomb haven't been public for a few decades. If they test and it works, I'd reckon that they would never get another chance to detonate one operationally. Even the Euroweenies would likely come around and realize how dangerous it would be for them. My guess is, if they have one to test they'd skip testing and go operational with it from the get-go.
This may seem trivial, but I think it's important and sends an important message to the gov't of Iran, it's people and the rest of the world.
For starters, we need to demand Iran's ejection from the UN and all their ambassador's and personnel must leave. Immediately. No weeks and months of meetings. No apologies or explanations accepted from Iran.
I know Kofi and the U.N. are worthless, but this would force them to show the world that membership in the U.N. means something, or not, depending on their decision.
If necessary, Bolton or someone else could make a list of all the threats the Iranian regime has made against us in just the past 2 yrs and take out a full page in the WSJ demanding Iran's membership to the UN be suspended indefinitely.
Let's just hope that we don't learn the where-a-bouts of SH's WMD via Ahmadinejad!

Yes, that's the implication - or threat. Iranians are putting the idea out -- more as a trial balloon to gauge our possible responses.
Ahmadinejad wants to know what we'll do - and the Mullahs and council members want to know.
Ahmadinejad's not the only player in Iran - there's lots of oil rich Mullahs. And Mullahs don't want to be vaporized. Death is fine for the true believers, but not for the corrupt, rich, indulged Mullahs. Nope, old Ahmadinejad will have an accident before he'll be able to martyr the Iranian corrupt ones...
And our response? The American response? We're laughing at the bluster and overblown threats... It comes across as silly. Old Saddam and his mother of all battles ... little fish in small ponds thinking they're sharks. It's funny. Sad too. Rich nations with thousands of nukes and strong militaries can afford to stand back. We've done the "flash" before - and killed millions - we can do it again. But it's not personal - it's not what we want. And if we must kill the Iranians it'll happen, but it'll happen without threats and bluster. No blood running in the streets rhetoric, it'll happen with quiet and sad resignation - and precision.
