Yes...it was turned off....state of the art technology.
I don't agree with the guy you are arguing with either, so I just ignore him. But the ultimatum he cites was up on Drudge all day yesterday.
AP - Sun Jul 16, 3:54 PM ET Syrians tour the streets of Damascus Sunday, July 16, 2006, in their car waving the flags of the Lebanese Hezbollah Party in a show of solidarity. The picture of Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Hezbollah, is seen in front of the car. Nasrallah on Sunday made his first appearance after days of clashes with Israel, saying his group had 'complete strength and power' and suggesting it would continue attacking civilian areas. Hezbollah had 'no choice' but to hit the northern Israeli city of Haifa with rockets Sunday after Israel struck civilians in Lebanon, Nasrallah said. (AP Photo/ Bassem Tellawi)
That's what I thought too even though the msm denied it would be State Dept.
It never pays to get cocky.....
Shep Smith in Israel? If there's anything that will make the Israelis want this over with, it's to get rid of that Drama Queen.
Cancelled due to lack of interest???
Man, Cutlass Supreme! Pimp my ride. And a Buick Century. Now you know where Cars 4 Causes sells their vehicles.
There's a guy advertizing on Craig's List who is doing lawns for free. Says he needs the exercise to lose weight (cough, don't we all).
lol....could be,,

So do I, but I'm afraid I'll have a heart attack first....;)
Condi spent 4 years as national security advisor. She knows the threat, and I also hope her time at State doesn't warp her or her priorities.
The President will be criticized no matter what he does or doesn't do. Some will say and have said he should've left the G-8 and gone to Israel. They'll want a special envoy sent over.
So far he's not interferring with the Israeli's, which is good. And our military is planning for all eventualities behind closed doors to be sure.
Can you imagine the hectic work going on even to try to get our people out of Lebanon? Round the clock, I'd wager.
That looks like an '82 Cutlass, and I think I see a Carter/Mondale bumper sticker on it...
The Sunday thread is basically the same old, same old, with the addition of a lot of comments like are on this thread..
There have been a lot of crossover posters..to both threads.
TWO LIVE threads...with breaking news is the BEST thing about Free Republic...IMHO>
hey, they were trying to save energy. Ever hear of GLOBAL WARMING???!!!
MOUSTAPHA: No, Syria does not provide military training or military equipment to Hezbollah in Lebanon. [Double negative, eh? "No, they do not" means "they do" but sure sounds like a no.] This is not the issue. [Diversionary feint]It's [that is the Aran propagandists and allied fifth columnists in media and politics] always trying to ignore the big elephant [the GOP, with its natural predilection to simple honesty] in the room. The big issue is that, right now, while we are talking, Israel is committing atrocities [Hey, John Kerry! This is a appeal to the old anti-Viet Nam war crowd.] in Lebanon.
They don't have canned goods there? 36 cans fit nicely in a milk crate. An upside down milk crate makes for a nice end table or foot stool, etc., and are easily stacked taking up only a foot of floor space.
