I've been told there was an "explosion" in the 12th floor electrical room. But I didn't smell smoke until the 3rd floor, on the way down, so I'm not positive.

We had a fire drill in our office this morning. Did everyone make it out to the playground in a quiet and orderly fashion?

Happened at my kids school in VA last time I was in NM - wife called, school on lockdown, streets closed, etc. Couple of hour later, she called back - "Nothing to worry about, the building is on fire."
Life changes.

An anonymous donor just gave the library a copy of Gigli on DVD?

Source for news of a 12th floor electrical room "explosion"?
From my Arco Plaza tower vantage point, there doesn't appear to be much eagerness in the pace of the officers - lots are now standing around and milling around with no sense of urgency. However, streets remain blocked and no police, bomb squad, or fire vehicles have left.

They have taken a lot of fire hoses off the trucks and carried them towards the east die of the building.

I was going to guess that some homeless guy forgot his brown paper bag
stepped up to the teller machine when a homeless guy was walking away, he left his slip there, had $25,000 in the bank.
To: patton
funny you bring that up... just today kels
said to me "hey momma, do you remember
when there was a fire at my 4 yr old
school and the firetrucks came?"
you musta been reading her mind.... ;)

There, or the thousand foot Library Tower across the street? That's a good question, since the Library Tower has been a target for years.

"stepped up to the teller machine when a homeless guy was walking away, he left his slip there, had $25,000 in the bank" I'm sure that's at least one month's rent...even in Frisco!

LOL, I just saw this and was going to ping the three of you! (o;
I sure hope it's another empty suitcase, or paper bag or something... With all the law enforcement response detailed so far, it sounds like they are taking all precautions though.

All attention being paid the Central (Riordan) Library. Their backs are to the Library (nee Liberty) Tower.

Hopefully it's nothing...but that's a pretty big law enforcement presence.
