Hope no one's hurt in Haifa.

would anyone really care whether Israel annexes Lebanon,They didn't when Syria moved their troops in, why would they now? Oh, that's right...
To: SerpentDove
I was here on this date in history. I agree. I think it's quickly shaping up to be one of those times in our lives.

Wow. Hopefully Israel goes to the UN before taking further action, wouldn't want them to start an illegal war.
This could get interesting.

See the green areas in the middle of Israel? First step is to make those areas yellow.

Hopefully, that's just talk, see some of the other posts on the boards about things being said by the Lebonese about Hizbollah.

I would just be wondering what sort of broach she would be wearing for this conflict!
Seriously, that was the extent of my interest in that idiot.

Haifa is about 60 miles from Tel Aviv and about 35 miles from Jerusalem.

And don't forget after some money greases some palms. That's what the UN is all about. Isn't it? It sure as hell isn't about fairness, and bringing peace. What a crock.

Petercooper looks like your good at this kind of stuff, can you post the picture of the Katyusha threat map on this web site for all to see?

Lebanon used to have a large Christian presence. I'm not sure if it still does or not. I believe that it does.
Lebanon was neutered by Syria for a long time and I don't believe it has significant military forces to this day. The government is not anti-Israel. It's the Hamassholes and Hizballahmites that are the problem. Syria's presence, what there is of it these days, if any, would also be problematic.
Syria provides arms to these terrorists. It's Syria and these groups that should be the focus, not Beirut or the Lebanese government.
Israel has used restraint in the past, but I'm thinking turning the Gaza Strip over to the Palestinians and their Hamas leadership, was a test period. When that gesture did not bear a large peace dividend, I think Israel faced the fact that it would have to destroy it's enemies so badly that they would beg for peace.
To that end, I hope Israel kicks ass big-time. Let it be known that Israel is willing to live side by side with Arabs in peace, but it will not expose it's people to death and dismemberment without reacting unmercifly.
Israel, I've said it before. You've got a green light from me. Go for it...
Those who take Israel to task, you should have known better. Gain knowledge from this. Otherwise condemn another two generations to financial failure or utter destruction.

What are the chances that we could move the entire UN HQ to say, Beirut, within the next few hours?

Correct. Beirut may not become glass, but it probably will become flatter than Keira Knightly's chest. I'm wondering if all this warmongering by Iran will be the final catalyst for revolution from within. Iran would not survive dealing with the Israelis and their own people. Hell, they wouldn't survive just Israel. And I think those in Iran who want reform know this.
Mr. Looney Toons may get a helluva more than he bargained for when he has to fight a revolution within his own borders- and the United States on boths sides of the country.
