We're headed out for an early dinner; will check in when we return. If it's not storming -- I hear thunder.

tried to open the crossing and allow thousands of Palestinians waiting on the Egyptian side through.

Talk about not being wanted anywhere. LOL.

If I were Israel, I would scoop up the Palis in Lebanon and transship them to Gaza. And then build a really high wall. At least you'd have all the Palis in one containment zone. The real Lebanese would be glad to see them go and should be willing help round them up.

You've got to remember that the PLO showed up in Lebanon only in the early 70's 'cause they got kicked out of Jordan (Cairo agreement). The Palis are the main reason that Lebanon was destabilized and then destroyed in the early '80s.

The World Tribune reported on Perricos's briefing. "He said the Iraqi facilities were dismantled and sent both to Europe and around the Middle East at the rate of about 1,000 tons of metal a month... The Baghdad missile site contained a range of WMD and dual-use components, UN officials said. They included missile components, reactor vessel and fermenters ... required for the production of chemical and biological warheads. 'It raises the question of what happened to the dual-use equipment, where is it now and what is it being used for,' Perricos's spokesman, said. 'You can make all kinds of pharmaceutical and medicinal products with a fermenter. You can also use it to breed anthrax.'"

1,000 tons of metal a month. Was Kofi operating a toll booth? Hell, they still had the UN inspection tags on them. I hope the French and Germans have buried their share deeply. Bastards.

Last March, John A. Shaw, a former U.S. deputy undersecretary of defense for international technology security, said Russian Spetsnaz units moved WMD to Syria and Lebanon's Bekaa Valley.

Ooooh look, it's our good friends from Russia! Spetsnatz ain't the 4-H Club, boys and girls. When do we tell Russia to pound sand? I really don't care if we piss them off, they need to be called on this in public. They never reformed, never changed. We are total suckers.

I apologize for my snarky tone, but I am so angry I could spit. Dammitdammitdammit, why did we let these sandmonkeys get away with this in the first place. Bush lied, blahblahblah. You and I know he didn't lie, he just knuckled under to that little sh*t Kofi.

I hope everyone has read your post to us, and if skeptical, checked the sources. This should put the issue to rest, finally.

Regarding the caller and Ledeen. It's perplexing that the President made major statements right after his reelection, in two separate speeches (at least), that America would stand firm with elements in Iran who wanted another path away from the mullahs. Supporting the resistance very publically.

Yet, here we are......

Oh man. He's in my prayers. I'm headed to the kid's karate class - then an hour break - then my karate class. So we'll be at the dojo until late. I'll check in asap, though.

God bless Israel and those that love her.

I would like to ask all freepers that are on this thread whether they think America should get involved in this Israel v. Lebanon/Syria/possibly Iran war...if necessary.

Not officially of course, but sometimes a payload could come loose over the territory you're flying over, and....

Furthermore, how hard would it be to switch the American Flag decal and numbers for a Star of David?

Not too hard. Gimme an exacto knife....

Will do. I just went outside about 15 minutes ago, and saw a military(looking-favorite shade of gray primer) aircraft flying really low. I was so shocked, that I didn't even check out the tail for ID. It had six engines(props), and I hollered for my bf to take a look, but he didn't hear me. Maybe they're retrofitting the old warhorses for fire abatement. We have so many fires all at once!

Very scary. The clerk at the gas station has horses, and an arena where the Sheriffs take their horses, in case of a problem. We had an interesting conversation earlier today.

Yucca Valley has enough vegetation for a fire now? Man things change in twenty five years.

The fire coverage reached my daughter who now lives in North Carolina. She called, wondering if we were going to have to evacuate.

Not yet, if these people pull their heads out. We were told that that the vegetation in that part of the wilderness hadn't burned in half a century, so they let it go. So far, 42 houses destroyed, and a herd of horses slightly burned by running through the flames.

Two fires are merging, and we're watching it on TV at this moment. We are approximately 40 miles away(as the crow flies). We can see the smoke, and it is blowing into Las Vegas.

Yucca Valley is a huge expanse of land. Perhaps your memory is impaired.

Saudi Arabia on Thursday blamed "Elements" Inside Lebanon for the violence with Israel, in unusually frank language directed at guerrilla group Hizbullah and its Iranian backers.

(Pigs aren't flying either)
