I'd be willing to bet that Israeli pilots have taken instruction in our country on how to land and take off from aircraft carriers.
Furthermore, how hard would it be to switch the American Flag decal and numbers for a Star of David?

Some posters just like to make a federal case about everything and quibble with words. It's so Clintonian that soon we'll be seeing someone wonder what the meaning of "is" is.

these agencies are even more deeply divided politically - then the country is. and that says alot.
there is no "truth" anymore, at least in the context of reports like this which blend facts with suppositions to draw conclusions.

Now, now, prairie...Kofi is a crook...but, he isn't stupid...is he?? LOL

If called upon - YES..... i.e. Israel starts having real trouble handling it themselves, we'd better, with haste, massive air and sea support. Bomb the attacking regions into oblivion, if God does not prevent us from doing so. If we don't support Israel when needed, we'll suffer the consequences sooner or later.

If I may add a clarification: We do draw a distinction between God's action and God's permission, while considering both to be His will. That is, He may control events by actively interceding--influencing hearts, controlling the weather, dropping a nuke on Sodom and Gomorrah, etc.--or He may allow events to run their natural course, knowing fully the near- and long-term outcomes. He may also do any combination of the above, for example by allowing evil men to carry out their plans to attack Israel so that He can give them another miraculous victory, as He has numerous times since 1948.
If you want to get a sense of how God is interacting with His Creation today, look in Scripture to see how He has interacted with us in the past. Just as the NT authors understood the prophets who wrote of Israel's then-impending Babylonian captivity to also be speaking to their own day, we can understand that God's actions for and against Israel in the Bible speak to our own day.

I've noticed and it's disruptive to the thread at hand.

"Did Madelyn Albright threaten to come over there?"
She's too busy explaining how Kim Jong Ill is just misunderstood.

No news service, and no Israeli official, has said that their intel is that the soldiers WILL be moved to Iran. That one is Peach's baby.

The UN is strangely silent at the moment.
That is because they are holding meetings to have our gun rights taken away......

I would like to ask all freepers that are on this thread whether they think America should get involved in this Israel v. Lebanon/Syria/possibly Iran war...if necessary.
I'm sure 140,000 U.S. Soldiers wouldn't mind stretching their legs and pursuing some bad guys into Syria.

I thought you were done with the thread?

I am proud of you for your contribution to Free Republic also, Peach...and I want to thank you.

I would like to ask all freepers that are on this thread whether they think America should get involved in this Israel v. Lebanon/Syria/possibly Iran war...if necessary.Definitely yes (assuming Israel requests our assistance, of course), for two reasons. First, it's morally right to help a democratic country that is committing all of its resources to defend its survival. Second, it's to our strategic advantage to assist an ally in the Mideast.

Exactly. You have outlined the difference between God's Permissive Will, and His Active Will.

Then "Free will" is evil. "Free will" is neutral.
The refusal to conceive of things being neutral gives us "gun control" - guns are evil, and out of control tort litigation "accidents" are evil - some one had to commit them.

Oh, and I'll note that despite your ignoring it, I DID link an Israeli officials EXACT statement about the Israeli soldiers.
And I highlighted a pertinent section of another statement by another Israeli official.
From Your Post:
You claimed that Israel has information that the soldiers WILL be taken to Iran.
Meir said they had information that Hezbollah was "planning" to take them to Iran.
So shoot me.

A poster replied to me.
It is really quite surprising that you view stating a possibility and stating a conclusion as being essentially the same thing. Though I'd hazard a guess that if the conclusion was something you DIDN'T want to be true, you'd be emphasizing the uncertain nature of the possibility.
